Zavier Gozo?

I can't imagine we will buy both this lad and Anan Khalaili, esprcially now we have bought Guessand back on loan.

For me Khalalli looks better technically and able to use both feet. Gozo, from what I have seen, seems to have a style that relies more on speed and getting a toe poke on the ball before the opposition. I don't think that is as suited for the Prem.
While he does more than that , one of Sarr’s weapons is his acceleration . Looks like they’ve got him covered , then he just gets a short break and controls the ball at speed . Hard to handle .

Gozo looked a bit the same . Brennan had the speed , but just wasn’t making the right choices when he got that 1/2 m .

I’d like to get both of these guys .

It’s not just about having alternatives but Jo can come in . We need the extra cover for when the injuries happen .

That’s the hat triggered the mid season slump , outside the fact that Glasner made real attempt to develop the next level players so wore out the starting 13 so they ended up getting injured .

Move in the final stages. Read another article saying that we've had contact with him since 2023 apparently and he'd been over for visits before.

Also on one of the preseason videos when asked about initiations Chris Richards responds "we tried to get Ozoh/Gozo to sing". Can't tell quite what he says but it'd be strange to talk about Ozoh doing an initiation as he's not new. Who knows.

Wtf is this transfer taking so long? He had his medical last Monday and yet still no announcement. We always do our transfers at a snail's pace, often allowing other teams to come in and snatch the player.

Noone has snatched anybody recently and usually when that happens it is because the player/agent is using the club to get a better move somewhere else e.g. Eze to Tottenham or more wants more money/wages. If the club throw their money around like the big clubs and like they did with JSL and BJ in January the transfer is quick and simple, but look how those turned out.

I take your point but the fee has already been agreed (and I'm sure the personal terms too). Just seems like other teams identify who they want and sign them up, whereas we prefer to faff about for no reason.

Apparently waiting for international clearance which may include his work permit. Work permits are issued based on international appearances and the quality of the league you are currently playing in.

So a yong player with little or no caps playing in the Bundesliga will have a better chance of a work permit than one playing in say the Indian league.

Maybe we are having to provide additional proof?

I just dont understand why people think that this is the reality.

The reality is you dont know, but I'm certain they are not just faffing. As a few others have said, might be a work permit thing.

Either way, announcing it isnt going to be top priority for the club.

Work permit just taking longer than usual due to not having USA first team cap. Apparently this can cause more of a delay in it all being tied up.
He is a palace man, just minus the unveiling media post as of yet.

Or maybe not 🤣🤣

Latest from Sky Sports News' James Savundra:

Crystal Palace’s move for Zavier Gozo has been delayed by MLS paperwork but the club are confident of completing a deal prior to the start of the new season.

The Eagles agreed a deal to sign the 19-year-old winger from Real Salt Lake earlier this month and face Everton in their opening Premier League game on Saturday.

In MLS, the league is a single entity that holds all player contracts rather than the individual clubs.

There is always a delay when transferring with the MLS as their player are contracts are through the league itself and not individual clubs as with basically every other league.

So every trade gets a MLS review prior to the transfer going through to make sure that it meets requirements. Usually, it is a couple of extra days.
