Been having a trawl through some leftie bits and pieces and what strikes me is the following...

1. They are GUTTED about this.

2. There seems to be an almost resigned acceptance that this is just the way it is on the Left.

Recieved wisdom seems to be that the Greens will make hay out of this, and that with old Sultana being up on a data-related charge, there ain't going to be much to salvage. There was some bloody weird division in how they divided up the data that has been amassed and that Sultana jumped the gun on them because she feared Corbyn's mob were going to effectively shut her out via the finances. Whatever is going on, it is a delicious farce with the only downside being Labour probably get to keep at least 3-5% of what remains of their dwindling % in the polls.

This really. And 2017, Corbyn led Labour got 40% of the vote. This is going to hurt Labour. Stupid name, not withstanding.

The Labour Candidates got the votes.

Corbyn as the Labour Leader though was a massive red flag for Millions of voters and meant they were never going to secure enough votes to win either of the 2017 or 2019 elections. He is seen as too left wing, a Russian sympathiser, a terrorist sympathiser and also faced a lot of opposition from within his own Party. He should also have led a better campaign in 2017. It was close but Corbyn was the reason they lost, not the reason they nearly won.
