your favourite Gerry&Sylvia Anderson series?

Love everything Anderson, but my favourite is UFO.....hence my profile pic of a SHADO Mobile. Still have all my Anderson Dinkys too (Thunderbird 2 & 4 & Lady Penelopes Rolls Royce FAB 1, Captain Scarlet SPV SPC & MSV, Space 1999 Eagle Transporter & Freighter, Joe 90 Jet Car & Sam Loovers Car, UFO Interceptor SHADO Mobile & Ed Strakers Car, Secret Service Gabriels Model T Ford)
Those models were brilliant, my favourite was the space 1999 interceptor that actually fired the big rocket from the front. Brilliant that you’ve still got some

Its hard for me to say which was my favorite. My dad actually worked on many of them. I loved U.F.O. and had the gold Straker model car. I also had one of the "Mobiles", made by Dinky I think. Airfix did a model of the Angel fighters from Capt Scarlet and also the Eagle Transporter.

My dad actually got me a few things from the sets. In U.F.O. there was a map in Strykers office of the solar system. It was made of thick canvas. It was my pride and joy on the wall of my bedroom for many years.

To top it off, I was crazy about model making and after I was made redundant from my first job my dad took me down to Bray Studios to to meet some of his work mates and try and get me a job on the set of Terrahawks making the models for the sets. Unfortunately, times were hard and they couldn't hire any new staff. Funny enough Terrahawks was my least favorite...

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson made some of the best most Iconic shows of my childhood which undoutbtedly lead to my love of astromony. I loved them all...

OK on the mentioning but we'll have to call it a tie on account of the collection still owned.
Actually to be fair, he does win on that count.
I seem to remember I broke the plastic legs off my thunderbirds 1 and 2, I lost the little thunderbird 4 that came out of the pod of thunderbird 2, and that was by Boxing Day 1974, so I’ve got no chance of still having them šŸ˜‡šŸ¤£

Talk about irony. If only International Rescue had been on hand to save the day.

🤣

we might have to bring Evel Knievel into the conversation, that’ll definitely be a wtf? moment for the youth of today. A big yank in a strange white suit that ISN’T Elvis Presley
He was a strange one. Did he ever complete one of his stunts without ending up like a sack of smashed plates? Huge build up and he'd always end up on a stretcher trying to raise a broken thumb to show he was OK.

I still have my green Interceptor. Sadly, the missile has been lost.

No doubt you will remember the wonderfully silly 'Journey To The Far Side of the Sun', with Roy Thinnes and Herbert Lom.

I wanted to go to Wembley to see him, but my dad said he’s a lunatic and a few seconds and it’ll be all over
Jumping over the tank of piranha fish moved him to the next level of lunacy

When he tried to jump over the busses? Another attempt which resulted in hospitalisation. He might as well have loaded himself into a trebuchet.

what's a trebuchet? and I remember a kid coming into the playground with a Thunderbird 1 model, I had 2 and 4 like everyone else, anyone seen a 3? I'm not expecting a 5. And of course I had captain scarlet's car and the blue SPV with the ejector seat. In my neck of the woods there's loads of specialist second hand shops which have all this stuff with Ladybird books, Look In annuals etc. Bexhill is the epicentre of retro stuff.

Yes the London buses, I think if memory serves me right, he did it, but he hit the ramp on the other side so hard he bounced up high off the bike and ended up in a mangled heap on the floor

I did manage to see Eddie Kidd at Norman’s Park in Bromley, now he was another lunatic, but at least he was our lunatic🤣
