Yeremy Pino

Pino made so much difference. Most notably for TM.

Countless time he drew 2 men in and then released to TM in space to cross.

Because of hte way he plays he'll always make mistakes and lose the ball a bit, but dont let that overshadow the offensive thread he brings. Especially in these low block games
I like TM but his inability to beat a man and his habit of turning back really blocks our attacking momentum. He is a great defender but is no Munoz going forward.

We really need a quality back up next season to play in the winnable games and it's not Sosa.

Pino has struggled with the physical aspect of the prem - as so many overseas players do. But he does have talent and it’s easy to forget how young he is. So I think we have to be patient with him (JD and Wharton too, for that matter) they will make mistakes - but hopefully as they develop through big match experience, we’ll end up with some really talented players…………who we can sell on to Bayern and Arsenal. 🤦🏻

Despite slipping over about 5 times I thought he looked bright when he came on and made us much better going forwards.

Hopefully that's a sign of things to come, or he's just found his level against a 10 man Cypriot pub team 😂

Guessand today on the other hand I thought was shocking. Barely looked to get involved. Far from convinced we should be spending 28m on him. Grim to think we've also spent 35m on Johnson and 30m on Nketiah. Talk about throwing money down the drain.
He was the Guessand I witnessed plying his trade for A.Villa. He was not impressive in those games and I believe the A.Villa supporters are not enamoured by his performances for them.

I agree, but I don’t blame Mitchell.
He’s a first rate defender and probably my player of the season, but the one thing he can’t do is beat a defender and cross the ball accurately.
Which begs the question - why have a game plan which continually ends up with Mitchell in an advanced position on the left hand side asking him to do the one thing he can’t do?

Crap manager? also Pino is better than Johnson and Guessand but never gets to play in his position, because we don't have one, i totally agree with you on Mitchell, but you have to wonder if the Dwight McNeil had gone through, would Mitchell even be in the team?, crazy.

I’m sure before OG TM was getting to the byline and crossing more regularly.
I think it’s the protect at all costs mentality with OG system. If TM is too far forward the oppos midfielder is in front of him. This might mean OG doesn’t trust the defence to cover it. With a 442 or similar and TM getting to the byline cover is there.

Played well last night 👍

Think next season he will push on as a good number 10 👍
i really hope Pino comes good, as there is definitely a good player in there.

He looked better last night - just an observation he does seem to perform better in the Euro games, maybe the poorer opposition and a bit more space/time.

Kiev away, Ak, Shelbourne and last night were amongst his better performances.
