Yeremy Pino

I find it annoying that he takes our free kicks and corners. 9 times out of 10 they are hopeless. Can't pass, can't tackle, can't shoot, gives away possession and fouls in dangerous positions in our own half. In my view get rid.

On the right, Yeremy Pino at age 23 in the PL with Palace.

Whilst there's obviously areas to improve, he's nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe.

People need to back our players.

He does try and atlease he hasn't ask to leave

how the hell is Pino on the Spain squad ? it defies belief.
Presumably because like i wrote earlier, he is surrounded by exceptionally good players and they all play with the same understanding. It's the same when we all complain that a somebody doesn't play as well for England as they do for their club. At their club they have better quality teammates, who happen to not be english.

Now we have Pino and Johnson is there a risk our new DoF spends too much time scouting players whose names sound like descriptions of men's trouser equipment? If we sign Willy Boly then we'll know.

Getting back on topic, Pino may well turn out to be a much better player than appears to be the case at present. Just watching a chap named Sorloth score his 200th career goal and his second of the night for Athletico….. make that a hat trick!

He'll be OK, I've always thought new signings, especially from abroad, need a season to settle properly. He is very frustrating at times but he will improve I reckon.

If he was surrounded by other tiki-taka players on the same wavelength then he would be alot more effective. But for the mid-table slog he just can't do the business for us in Glasner's formation

As the saying goes, lies, damned lies, and statistics.

I would be very pleased if Pino came good. For one thing, we've paid for him now. For another, he really does seem to try. However, he has been awful so far and seems only to be getting worse.

The stats don't tell the whole story. They don't tell you (for instance) how often Pino made a mess of a key attacking pass when it was very much on, or how often Eze played a perfectly weighted through ball only to see a palace forward misread it, or a covering defender do well. The stats deal in quantity but struggle to convey quality.

Not to suggest that Eze did everything right and Pino does everything wrong, but the slightest glimpse of Eze at 23 showed what a class act he promised to be. The ease of his first touch, his awareness, body shape, weight of pass... It was all there. We all knew straight away that we had a gem. Pino, in comparison, is plainly really struggling.

In my minds eye, I imagine him scuttling around to useful effect in a narrow right sided midfield role, like a modern Ray Houghton, but that's probably to do with how little pace and power he has rather than any sense that he can run the game from that position. If anything, he's becoming a liability when he comes into our half to collect the ball. It's gone from wondering if a different formation would unlock him to it being really hard to see where he has any possible future here.

Sorloth ,the one that got away .
How did we let him slip through our fingers ?
All Roy’s fault .
