My guess with our attacking midfielders is that they're wingers who don't really understand the ten role that Glasner wants. Which is more of a central position initially - but involves drifting in and out. If you're thinking of positioning, rather than just playing your game, you make mistakes. That's where Glasner could consider changing frankly. We could play with wingers and cross the ball. Strand Larsen has already shown he can do something with crosses. Pino can use both feet but is stronger on the right foot and Sarr is right footed. I don't know about the others. I wonder are any natural left footers, I'd guess Guessand might be.

Guessand has given every indication that he is right-footed.
Playing wide on the right has been his most common position over the last 2 seasons. A common theme of his game is running at defenders.

So I'm hoping that a new manager will bring something more out of him for next season.

As has been said, he's certainly game and not shying away from possession of the ball.

I wish he would. We might keep possession a bit longer if he was shyer. The worst thing that happened with him was that bloody song so early in his Palace career. Made him think he was better than he was.

I don't think that many fans still think that way. Pino consistently loses the ball (even more than Eze used to). He tries hard to keep it when tackled but regularly fails as happened again yesterday. He's too lightweight for the role he's being asked to play. As someone has said previously, he reminds me of Max Meyer - a lot of skill but simply not strong enough for this league.

Ponderous and uninspired performances.
It is little wonder that 'Positivity' is at a premium but we all support our team in droves, some of us having to make significant journeys in all weathers.

Pino is a very good winger, he played very wide, skipping past defenders and crossing, think of John Salako, Eddie McGoldrick, Alan Irvine, all good wingers, see how they would get on playing the number 10 role, inside all game.

I don't think anyone is saying they don't hope it works out, but surely there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that 35 appearances into his Palace career, he's been incredibly underwhelming (and that's putting it kindly).

Do we just pretend he's been good because he's relatively new to the club? He's not exactly being booed or abused at the ground. Some minor criticism on a forum seems about right to me.

It certainly appears that the £35 Mill Johnson is not suited to the role allocated to him.
At present our players appear to be performing in a 'Strait Jacket' with the hand break engaged. I am willing to consider that our ponderous performances may be attributed to a dearth of confidence.

I also think he is quite an intelligent football who could adapt to the role.

However, at the moment his confidence is shot and he needs a rest. At Macc he had a great early chance but used his right foot when it was on his left - a big sign that your confidence is at a low ebb. Yesterday the early lob was similar. He had time to take a touch but took it early using the wrong foot.

You could see his confidence get even lower from that point on. His involvement with the penalty was terrible too. The poor free kick in the 2nd half was so predictable.

I agree both players look better suited to different systems. I won't write him off yet as it clearly takes time adapting to a new country and football style. It is worrying though that our recruitment department bought these players specifically for this system though... It does not give me confidence of future recruitment.

Pino started fairly brightly when he came and seems to be tailing off massively. Kind of the opposite of how it went for Kamada last year. I think he would benefit from a bit of a break from the starting 11. Yesterday he had a proper stinker (he's not the only one playing below his level) and it must be a bit demoralising when your substitution is cheered. But if you can't get corners and freekicks past the first man then fans are not going to be happy!
