Yeremy Pino

I was surprised to see him in the starting line up, the attempted chip over the keeper when he was through on goal early on says it all.

Give Johnson a run of games and hope Pino comes good in season 2.

I think he’d be better in a system where he was behind the forwards rather than one of them. He doesn’t really have the pace or strength to get beyond players nor is he any good at holding it up. However, if he was playing as the most advanced of a midfield three he could do ok. What I will say is he doesn’t hide and always has a high work rate. Today he had a very bad game though

I know what you mean but he got in the position for two significant chances, Johnson hasn’t even been doing that. Pino also gave the ball away for the penalty though.

Guessand has looked better than both when coming on as a sub but wasn’t great starting against Burnley.

Pino hasn't got that extra burst of pace and could probably hear the defender approaching him. With the goalkeeper well out of his goal he attempted to lob him but being so right-footed he used his favoured foot when the opportunity in his position favoured a left-footed effort.

Goalie was off line ,the lob was on but the execution wasn’t .

Johnson has been worse albeit with less games .
Johnson just looks disinterested.

Another player everyone is seemingly happy to dismiss after a little over half a season.

Lets just appreciate that most foreign players need a season to get used to the speed and physicality of the league.

He isn't shying away, despite making mistakes he's constantly showing for the ball. And currently playing in a team that just isn't functioning correctly.

I know he was a winger originally, but it might be worth adding him to our midfield mix and playing 2 from Wharton, Hughes, Kamada, and Pino. It seems that Kamada and Hughes are interchangeable, albeit with different strengths, maybe Pino could come on for Wharton who looked like he needs a rest at the moment. He doesn’t have Wharton’s eye for a pass but might get the odd shot on target.
Guessand and Sarr should surely be our two either side of Strand-Larsen and Johnson needs to be our sub option for those two.

Yes, yes and thrice yes.

He could be part of the reason we’re not functioning properly, as in he’s just not up to the job

My guess with our attacking midfielders is that they're wingers who don't really understand the ten role that Glasner wants. Which is more of a central position initially - but involves drifting in and out. If you're thinking of positioning, rather than just playing your game, you make mistakes. That's where Glasner could consider changing frankly. We could play with wingers and cross the ball. Strand Larsen has already shown he can do something with crosses. Pino can use both feet but is stronger on the right foot and Sarr is right footed. I don't know about the others. I wonder are any natural left footers, I'd guess Guessand might be.
