Yeremy Pino

He's been completely useless.. But today, he showed glimpses of what he can offer, he was allowed to roam more and dropped deeper which he hasn't done all season.. maybe you didnt see it, but it happened.😂
He moved into pockets of space pretty well today. But his decision making and passing were terrible.

I'd like to see his pass completion stats which may prove otherwise, but he is starting to worry me when he gets the ball because I don't trust him to keep it.

Hopefully the next manager will find a way to get more out of him in a different set up.

I remember Kamada having poor pass completion for a while but that was because he tried difficult passes. Pino was messing up simple passes today

Kamada passing numbers only improved because he become one of those players which shows stats are meaningless by doing the short passes which may be slight forward or side to side even backwards.

Everything about Pino is wrong for this league he is light weight and needs time which you dont get in this league plus he is not even quick.

The guy cant shoot either.

Looking at his record hes a winger who just puts balls in the box nothing else well that dont work in this league. (He is another one who never really had a great record anyway I do wonder if they are picking people based of maybe chatting to them not ability or some stats)

Complete waste of money he was another panic buy 25m down toilet.

He was terrible, yet again but in his defence so was Johnson, Sarr and Uche when he came on. However, over the season he has been rather awful. Let’s hope a new manager can get something out of him. For sure, Glasner can’t

Indeed !

One of my mates said it's because he's on a different, more sophisticated wavelength to his team mates....
Quite a kind interpretation. When Ardiles went to Tottenham he consistently played the right ball but Gerry Armstrong and Chris Jones didn't know what the right ball was. When he could play Archibald in it was a different story.
At the moment whatever qualities Pino has aren't being seen - will they be?

Wow,

Since when did we become a fan base who has so little tolerance, and is so eager to completely write players off. It's actually getting a bit embarrassing to read.

Feels like there is a section who cant wait to get online and slag people off. But also with no balance (He did make a bunch of mistakes, but also wasn't hiding. He was trying to get on the ball as much as possible and makes stuff happen).

He's a experienced Spanish international, so clearly isn't 'sh1t'.

He's played 30 games for us now and been incredibly underwhelming - nothing wrong with admitting that.

I still think there's a reasonable chance he comes good, but I think question marks at this stage are more than fair!

He's been underwhelming for sure, but the raw talent is clearly there, given his recent goals

I've been trying to give him more time than I did Kamada as he turned out to be quite useful, but my patience has gone now. So many of our attacking moves break down when they get to Pino either by a wayward/overhit pass or just getting muscled off the ball. I've no idea why he's taking corners or free kicks either, more often than not they've been completely ineffective.

It's frustrating, as on paper with his number of games and being a Spanish international he should be good, but I've just not seen it. Maybe the next manager will be able to get a tune out of him.

Yeah question marks are fine, but most of the comments aren't that. They are how terrible he is, that he's a complete wast of money, or our worst ever signing. I'm all for criticism, but there isnt ever any balance. Players are either not mentioned, or complete sh1t.

Against Sunderland he scored a worldie and put one on a plate for Mateta.

These more creative players naturally are more hot and cold. Some games it will work, other games it wont.

Agree. I’m mindful of the Kamada turnaround so I don’t want to write Pino off yet, but it’s hard not to get frustrated. He loses the ball so often — gets outmuscled, isn’t quick enough to get past anyone, or worse just can’t play a simple pass.

For a player supposedly signed for his creativity, he's been bad. I get needing time to adjust to the league, but simple passes shouldn’t need an adjustment period.

Sarr can’t pass two yards but he offers threat in front of goal. Pino doesn’t even have that right now.

Add in the petulance and he’s a tough one to keep faith with. Still hoping he proves us wrong though.

Fair enough - I would agree that comments such as you describe are extreme and unnecessary.

Anyone talking about worst ever signing can't have been around very long.

My new favourite player. Just to be different and cool. Pino - "he scores when he wants, assists when he wants, scores when he wants, assists when he wants." Getting that t-shirt right now.
Trouble is he doesn't want much. Still, good luck with your new favourite - does one fan constitute a club?

Will this t-shirt be from the same supplier as the 'I saw Gareth Taylor score' garments?
