Not understanding people having a pop at Pino. He young and first season in PL. Compared to number of other buys in this league he is standing up very well such as Guessand or Wirtz

I'd hope a spanish international would be of a higher quality than hes displayed so far.

I think this is largely a fair assessment, but there remains an issue around physicality and how he will.be cope.I’m a bit baffled by this thread to be honest. I think he has shown great potential. We have lost three of our best ever attacking players in successive seasons. Olise and Eze were completely different players when they left compared to where they started. Mateta is a completely different player, Sarr looks so much better than he did initially.
Not to say any players are above criticism. He’s not the first name on the team sheet (yet). His finishing has not been good enough… but whose has? If he is making clever runs the midfielders (bar Wharton) are not picking out the midfielders need to work on that. Kamada picked him out a few times against Wolves.
Glasner would probably say he’d have settled a lot sooner if he had got a full pre-season.

We are of one mind on this matter.I think this is largely a fair assessment, but there remains an issue around physicality and how he will.be cope.
You have to be absolutely exceptional like Bernardo and David Silva so your skill outweighs the physical challenge.

Yeah, I agree though I am confident he’ll adjust. He’s short but, compared to the likes of Bernardo and David Silva, I don’t think he’s slight/weak.I think this is largely a fair assessment, but there remains an issue around physicality and how he will.be cope.

Eze didn’t pull up that many trees in his first 18-24 months really. One in two games he could go missing. Yes when he was on fire he was fabulous and won us games and the cup. I will take that but pino only been here a few months. He has something as you don’t get 3-4 shots a game by not being a player and knowing the game. Be nice if he scored more but that’s coming I’m sure.Pino. The poor guy is seen as the direct replacement to Eze, which he is lol
Eze was a very experienced, confident and exceptionally talented player for Palace. Poor Pino has come in with great expectations upon his shoulders. He's doing ok, give him some slack.
The best team I have ever seen live (apart from Palace!) was the Barcelona team of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta that had 5 players under 5 foot 8.
The key for them was quick pass and move to evade heavy challenges.
I think we'll have to play in a similar way to see the best of Pino.
It's unrealistic to expect him to outmuscle or outpace defenders in the mode of Mateta or Sarr.
I agree with you. Mr Glasner as we know is not the sort of manager who picks players if they are not performing. He obviously has a lot of faith in Pino. It is easy to forget just what a huge adjustment a foreign player has to make joining an English team, especially if they do not speak the lingo.Eze didn’t pull up that many trees in his first 18-24 months really.
