Yeremy pino

Couldn't see why OG kept sticking with Kamada but hold my hands up & say I was wrong, the guy now seems to have settled & adjusted to the PL / our system & some of his quick touches are sublime, Pino seemed made of paper last week but he's like a Whippet & puts in a shift

I’m in no way suggesting he is better than Eze but I do think Ollie may be happier as he fits the system he likes to play better than Ebs did. In that he stays in the central no.10 position more than Eze did who tended to drift wide to the left touchline more to find space and also Pino tracks back more.

There was a rumour that Ollie wasn’t too bothered with Eze leaving as he wanted a player more suited to his system.

When Pino starts scoring match winning goals you can claim he is ‘more suited’ but Eze will always be a legend.

Desperately want Pino to score.

Something potentially overlooked, is he bringing the best out of TM too?

Last season most of our fast breaks came through Sarr or Munoz.

Our left flank now feels as potent as our right. Loads of overlapping. Fast and direct. No tricks or anything silly.

Potentially Eze slowed things down too much?

A very astute observation. I wouldn't say Eze slowed things down necessarily but EE is more of a maverick player and I think TM has a better understanding with YP. The link up play is therefore better and TM is contributing more in the opposition half.

We are now a better side without Eze, despite his abilities. Things have slotted nicely into place, every player knows what his role is and the whole seems far more coherent - the ebb and flow of our game is really quite pleasing on the eye, and we'll make chances aplenty against teams who play a high line. The low block may prove more problematical but we have plenty of good movement and a range of passing in the side to overcome it.
Of course Eze will always be highly respected for his crucial goals and assists, but things move on. Pino will get his first goal at some stage soon, we've already seen what good technical ability he has, and he looks fully involved in our attacking play as well as adding to the defensive side of the game.

His work rate alone is unbelievable! He is lighting fast, incredibly skilful and I’m sure the goals will follow!
Must say, great piece of business by our recruitment dept

Looks a good buy, always keen to get forward and tracks back as well, despite being clattered a few times gets on with it without too much fuss. Looked knackered when taken off, not surprised after the work he got through, I'm sure that will improve with more games and getting used to Premier league pace, thought that losing Eze would be noticeable but not doing too bad at the moment are we !

Precisely. Plus Pino has the speed Eze didn’t have. Same with Sarr over Olise. Eze and Olise are more valuable assets than the replacements, but the replacements suit the system more.

I’m sure he was consulted by parish and agreed that he’d be happy with selling Eze and bringing in a couple of players who suited him. Just as with the Guehi decision Parish had a discussion with the manager and decided to keep him. Glasner likes a good relationship with his chairman/ board or he goes. Parish knows that and is no fool. I’m optimistic Glasner will stay and make Pino a key player in the team going forward.

European Champs, you heard it here first. You'll never sing that Brighton 🤣
