Maybe one day we'll go into these games confidently expecting to win. We've got a way to go to get to that stage but at least no one can accuse us of hubris.

Well said Glazier. We are all for Palace here, and on the politics, let us be thankful that we are able to express differing views (and for my part it used to be a pleasure to disagree with my mates in the pub, not a reason to fall out).

Absolutely.
Palace winning is like Bill Bryson's point that his kids have everything but are constantly bored whereas when he was young there wasn't much entertainment so he was excited by what there was. It must be strange to support a club where winning the Cup is mildly satisfying but essentially just another day while for us it would be a dream come true.
It might be a small club mentality but I don't care.

Back tomorrow. Weather has not been brilliant but a fine Palace win will make me very happy. We have this sodding pneumatic drill next to our hotel and it is active 5 hours a day. Grr.
