Maybe one day we'll go into these games confidently expecting to win. We've got a way to go to get to that stage but at least no one can accuse us of hubris.The nerves have really started to kick in now as tomorrow's game approaches.

We are all for Palace here, and on the politics, let us be thankful that we are able to express differing views (and for my part it used to be a pleasure to disagree with my mates in the pub, not a reason to fall out).The nerves have really started to kick in now as tomorrow's game approaches.

Go dressed as Jimmy Saville. Sorry bit below the belt, seriously you have our sympathies, just think of poor old me, having to have a pint so early on a Saturday on the banks of the Thames! I am beginning to get nervous because at my age you don’t know how often the chance of seeing the Palace at Wembley will come around.

Absolutely.
Palace winning is like Bill Bryson's point that his kids have everything but are constantly bored whereas when he was young there wasn't much entertainment so he was excited by what there was. It must be strange to support a club where winning the Cup is mildly satisfying but essentially just another day while for us it would be a dream come true.
It might be a small club mentality but I don't care.

Back tomorrow. Weather has not been brilliant but a fine Palace win will make me very happy. We have this sodding pneumatic drill next to our hotel and it is active 5 hours a day. Grr.
