World cup 2026

can't say I am really looking forward to this one, reasons being too many teams through Fiffa greed and wanting more revenue , too many games, don't agree with Having multiple hosts. Also with iran and Ukraine at war and fuel shortages concerned it may have an impact.
 
1st game over cautious narrow win/draw. Media explosion of negativity.

2nd game ditto with ditto reaction.

3rd game comfortable win. Media claims they always expected it and single out one player for exaggerated praise/unbearable pressure.
 
Apart from England I’ll watch Brazil’s games even though since they’ve all been europeanised the Brazilian teams are not as exciting to watch these days and I’ll watch Colombia’s games because of Munoz and Lerma. I’ve always had a bit of a fascination with South American football in general so I’ll have have a beed at Uruguay’s games as well

And I’ll keep an eye on the sweaty socks but only for comedy value 😀

I do like the first phase of the World Cup because there’s games on all day and although I won’t be religiously sitting watching all of them it’s nice knowing they’re on to dip in and out of
 
I watched Canada v Qatar and what a treat it was farcical football by Qatar ,Canada are League Two at best and scored six, Qatar started fouling after goal two, their keeper is home sick and to make sure he gets home very quickly threw the ball in his own net , The Qatar players started collecting cards on the scale of a Pokemon collector. The Canadians came out in a Black kit but unfortunately several flocks of Canada Geese dumped all over them giving a nice speckled look.

I ended up watching most of that, I didn’t intend to, but once Qatar started shooting themselves in the foot I was intrigued how many Canada would actually get 🤣
