Great benefits to be had on a personal level apparently, like family bonding and wealth keeping, but nothing but cost to the taxpayer as genetic failures need special care and treatment.

A couple of years back she was banging on about having no kids as a choice, the best thing, no regrets etc, but now she wants attention for at least the truth of it, that it's SHITE without the legacy of them. There was no "narrative" that you didn't want them Jennifer - you said it yourself.

Jennifer Aniston was quoted in Claire Magazine as saying she ``didn't want kids''. She thought the idea of having children was ``frightening''.

Feminist agenda is the cause, the "go girl" and "you don't need a man" attitude that screws over our society through lower birth rates and relationship failures. Women are told to stick it to men by having a career and money, and the finger to a husband - why work for him and family when you can bust a gut for a faceless suit, who is usually a man anyway, but is going to use you to make them richer. According to feminism you shouldn't be a "baby machine" and yet raising your own child is undoubtably the most enriching, satisfying and fulfilling action that a woman can have. It's a disgusting assault on woman and our society to tell them not to have children, when there is nothing greater in life than an older woman to be surrounded by the legacy of a grandchildren.

I'm sure the educated beta soy boy feminists will comment.

I see the National Trust is leaving vegan tampons in THE GENTS loo at Sizergh Castle in the Lake District. Alongside is a disposal bin labelled 'Got a period situation going on? We got you'. WTF.

I was a member of the NT for about 50 years and must have paid them thousands. When they started to go down the woke road after COVID I cancelled my membership.

A great organisation down the drain.

National Trust is one of those organisations, like the Church of England and Prince Charles, that almost always gets it spectacularly wrong.

They bounce from extreme to the other, trying to appease whatever is the current zeitgeist.

Back in the day, they refused to acknowledge how many of their country mansions came into the possession of the aristocracy (i.e. by violent removing peaceful peasants).

But the current National Trust is arguably even more obnoxious.

If you are going to have a National Trust and considering the rich heritage we have in buildings and art and all the rest of it we actually do need one.....then you do need it run by those who value them and aren't predisposed to regarding this heritage politically negatively.....It just doesn't work to have prominent voices from within that structure working against that very heritage.....Well it works insomuch as less people want to be associated with the National Trust and that people become concerned that the people gifted these important positions aren't in fact safe stewards of these treasures.

So I go much further than you on concern on this issue. This is the inevitable direction of travel we have seen for years now and it reflects very badly on those who make the appointments.....quite frankly the decisions makers on certain appointments should be sacked.

I would agree that the National Trust of the past was perhaps a bit stuffy but now I regard that as a vast improvement to the embarrassment of the modern day.....which many people just see as just more evidence of national decline due to the left/social liberals.
