My current view is that Jimmy Carr is intelligent but that he bends with the wind.....I remember him during Covid. He's in an industry that is very left wing so he's had to navigate that.

Not based, but he's certainly no weirdo.....so there's that.

No, but as I say he's a liberal.

I wouldn't call him borderline, what I'm saying is that liberalism has no defence against wokism.....and that was proved by the progressive takeover, firstly via education and then media and government.

Social Conservativism would have never allowed it.

What social conservativism allowed was the social liberalism of people with opinions like Carr......His ideas took over the system.

And it was those ideas that allowed woke.
 
all comedians need to be wary of Leftie shyte. Certainly if they wish to get a pay-cheque every month. Ricky Gervais can now afford to ignore this rule as he is wealthy.

But even Gervais needs to consider the downsides of getting 'cancelled'.

Bill Burr, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are in the same category. Their wealth and fanbases are secure enough that they don't have to worry about anything the perpetually offended say or do.
