Winter Transfer Window 2026

Well fair play to the board for getting the cheque book out

Circa £98 Million spent this window on three players!!! 😳
Yet we still didn't get...
Right back cover.
Replacement for Guehi.
Creative CM competition.

Not a fan of spending money for the sake of it, especially on some fairly mediocre players with little resale value. Worrying how we've seemingly completely reversed our transfer strategy.

Of course I hope my negativity is misplaced, and these new boys prove me wrong week in week out and go on to become Palace legends.

I rather suspect that we’re going to change the way we play and go 4-2-3-1 and look to adapt.
Probably wrong but it’s what I’d do. (Although it’s far to say that I only managed Sunday league and half my players turned up drunk, had a halftime fag or sometimes didn’t turn up at all - so i’d imagine he will do the complete opposite as he knows what he’s talking about)!
Happy days. Halftime fag? They were getting stubbed out for kick-off and there was usually at least one player spewing up on the touchline after a few minutes. And it wasn't the bloke well into his 40s who was useless but mad keen and good for a few lifts.

For a team that had little depth in the squad it looks like we have increased our capabilities albeit not necessarily in all the areas we need. I expect us to have a real go at the conference league now as we have cover for any matches 2 or 3 days later (which was a notable problem).
Hat trick for Larsen against Brighton at the weekend!

Because we play 3 at the back. One of those 4 has just returned after more than a year out and another is very raw and still acclimatising to premier League football.
Not a priority, scoring goals is our problem. There isn't a replacement for Guehi, as there isn't anyone as good as him in our price range, Riad played at Barcelona, so he is no mug.

Ye I rate Riad... But like I said he's just returned from a year out and now we're relying on him to start most games - feels like a huge risk!

We only have one clean sheet in 10 premier league games and that was with Guehi playing. So remove our best defender and expect there to not be any problem feels a bit naive. I'd definitely have felt more comfortable if we'd at least got a loan CB to provide experience/competition/rotation especially if we're hoping to go deep in the Conference League.

No CB?

I wonder if a new manager is helping pull the strings? You may recall how OG just appeared when Roy got ill.

No a new manager wont be (I expect Palace do not even know who it will be a will have a list they will speak to once OG is gone)

OG had already signed before he took over don't you remember Roy announced it was his last season the only thing was OG was suppose to start the following season but due to Roy becoming ill agreed to come in early.

Only for the remainder of this season. This window has the prospective manager written all over it Glasner will have to work withe new arrivals or take a walk.
Yes that's why a loan would have been the option I would have taken.

Just think it's a big risk to try to 'see out' the season with our current defence. We'll see I guess. Once again I hope I'm wrong and we become extremely solid again at the back despite losing our best defender.

Every cloud has a silver lining. It’s good to p**s off Everton and Forest who wanted JPM. I like the fact that we helped Wolves, a team that has the good grace to frequently lose to us and not moan about it.
