Who feels let down again

After over 50 years of going to palace always will be grateful to see us win cups but still find it bizarre that we sell the players on good contracts when we are challenging in Europe where is the ambition to me the players look totally pissed off more will go also it looks like we are selling to NF who allegedly are taking us to court and got us kicked out of the cup
Come on why would you do that

Who apart from Lacroix are we selling on good contracts?

We are selling players who are agitating for a move, reusing to resign a new contract and who are likely on the way down.

why would we sell to Forrest, well lets be honest I cant imagine its Parish's ideal scenario, but they appear to be the only team dumb enought to pay 25m for a 30 year old.

My biggest regret is allowing Glasner to leave, I understand his contract had run out. Why did we not support him to the hilt?? This for me is very short-sighted unless something happened behind closed doors that we know nothing about. Really think this was a very big error

I would have been expecting to lose these first two fixtures on paper even with Sarr, Mateta and Munoz playing. Even with Lacroix. Probably even with Guehi and Eze too.

Before the season started I was saying "let's take these two inevitable defeats on the chin and go from there".

Does that mean I think we are suddenly going to rocket up the league? Nope. But it means I am going to wait a few more weeks before soiling myself voluntarily.

I have to admire your self discipline.

Don't feel let down at all. Good manager brought in and good signings made so far with hopefully more to come. Everything is new this season and it'll take a couple of games for the right team to be found and to gel together. Would like to see Tomi further forward, quality passer. Top 8 by Christmas 🎄 😁

And Spurs keeping us from being bottom of the table after two games

Do I feel let down, every single season, been going through this shyte since '64. Us oldies know full well what this club is about, young'uns, have only success & no nothing apart from threads like this, jeez.
Ultimately, it's pretty hard being a Palace fan. Basically, obviously mentally deficient somehow. Probably fully deranged. And you'd think it would get easier wouldn't you. You get one set of bragging rights and then a kick in the balls almost every two seasons. It's as regular as clockwork really. Many of us must be full on schizophrenic by now. I know my three weird personalities all feel the same.

I certainly knew about Glasner.
He secured a 4th place finish for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, he won the 'Europa League' with Eintracht Frankfurt and in the 'Champions League' they finished 2nd in their group stage.

I have a proclivity to keep tags on managers abroad. Well before we appointed Sage, I mentioned the name of 'Matthias Jaessle' on HOL and I suspect he was unknown to the vast majority on this esteemed site. Jaessle of course is now Newcastle manager.
Clever aren’t you ?

Cmon this isnt the kind of talk youd exoect from the 'best fans in England' is it?

When feeling a bit down about Palace I cheer myself thinking about the best player chants over the years such as:

Oooh argh oooh argh say oooh argh George Ndah. What chants do you cberish? Its either that or turning to magic mushrooms.

We lost our first 7 games under De Boer and Roy and even then I thought we would stay up. Feel the same this year. We are transitioning, like Villa, Newcastle, Spurs and a whole host of other clubs are too. Unlike some we dont and cant spend 300m buying our way up the table. But we have bought some half decent players who could do very well. And got rid of some dead wantaway wood. We cant match Chelseas 250k pw salaries. It will be okay. Even if we went down at least we can enjoy thinking we can win every week, unlike in the EPL.
