When it’s Glasner, Mateta & Sarr…

And has never happened like this to any other club in Premier League history; dont you have to start pointing the blame at the Club/Board itself?

I’m as angry as everyone else when Mateta tries to break his contract and Sarr fakes an injury. Glasner throwing away games last season to try and get fired. But you don’t see this happen to this degree elsewhere.

One bad egg can happen to anybody. Two bad eggs I’m scratching my head trying to remember if I’ve ever seen it at a different Club in the past but I’ll give benefit of the doubt and say it must’ve happened at some point. THREE BAD EGGS? And it’s all on them? We got 3 of the worst possible players/Manager that simply cannot be controlled? We accidentally hired the Sex Pistols? Pull the other one.

Some major changes needed at the top. Maybe not even as simple as someone big like Parish walking but surely at least the hiring of a proper DoF/Staff liaison Manager? Maybe they can also monitor the email inbox whilst they’re at it.

Oh do turn it in.

Never happened to any other club in Premier League history? It's literally happened significantly worse to Newcastle this summer and they're the wealthiest club in the world.
Generally player power has gone far too far. It's hard to know how to solve it. It's probably a crisis but we don't notice because there's always a crisis of one type or another in football. Currently, Infantino.

?

Players striking happens at every club. Watkins is on strike right now. And what did Emery say, it had happened 5 times under his tenure...

The clubs encourage it, id like to see a club pull out when a player goes on strike, come out publicly and say this player doesnt have the attitude we're looking for, they wont as they're probably telling him to force the move.

In fairness to Villa fans, from what ive seen they want to walk away from Mateta for the way his acted.

I don’t see a way of player power reducing any time soon.

One change I’ve observed this summer is that even the perceived protection of the long term contract seems to be eroding.
Lacroix and Sarr both had/have 3 years on their contracts.
Lacroix seemed to have planning his move to Chelsea as he was holding up the European trophy in front of the Palace fans at the end of the last season.
Sarr’s representatives seem to have agreed terms with the Turkish club without any agreement from Palace. Even if Palace hold out and don’t sell to them, it’s still indicative of an unhappy player wanting a move and disregarding his contract.
Both Lacroix and Sarr have had unprecedented success at Palace and essentially made their names with the club, but it would be naive to expect loyalty.

‘I want out’ is the motto and it’s not exclusive to Palace when you see what is happening at other clubs.

I do have sympathy with Parish over dealing with the prima donnas, but I have less sympathy in the ‘managing’ of messaging to the fans.
Glasner informed him he wanted out last October and yet some weeks later Parish was still insisting time was being set aside to discuss a new contract with Glasner and was hopeful of an agreement.
Now it may have been understandable not to announce a planned departure for Glasner at the end of the season as early as October because of the uncertainty it could create for the rest of the season.
However, is it necessary to mislead and create a false impression?

My conclusion is you can’t trust anything coming from football clubs, agents, players etc.
Just believe it when it happens.

i reckon all the nasty managers , the likes of Fergie & Nigel Pearson, had a reservoir of big-lump players. Players reserved to only play on the training-ground. Not even much good at football, better at MMA. Bouncer types.
Working there just to scare the shyte out of any truculent Prima Donna's.

It’s a job. Most of us would take more money and perks without an issue. Football though includes a lot more with supporters involved. No firm would be sensible in keeping unhappy employees if they want to leave.

Why can’t Palace sue the agent for conspiring with others to break a contract especially since he/she was party to the contract terms being drawn and probably demanding money from the Club for their efforts?

It would seem Palace have dealt with this the only way they can, and set a price way above what the Turks want to pay. If we remain relatively successful this will happen every close season. All the time clubs can offer terms to players, before negotiating the contract with the other club, it’s going to happen. And with some of the mega clubs building banks of unused players ,as Chelsea do, it’s happening more each year.

Villa, who are in the Champions League this season, have lost half their team in one window. They are higher than us in the food chain but their success, and the demands of PSR, means that even bigger, richer clubs have picked off their players.

We, as fans, are emotionally invested in our club, but players, managers, agents and the rest rarely are. So, in the end, money talks. Actually we’ve done quite well to limit the outflow over the past few seasons. The flip side is we fairly high up the chain now, so many clubs below us are prey in the same way we are to those above us.

Daniel Munoz went on strike at the Belgian club he was at in order to force a move to Palace. We didn't seem to show any outrage on that occasion

Man Utd have suffered with at least that many in each season's squad for about thirteen years now. Chelsea usually seem to have a few. As has been mentioned already Newcastle are in it right now (they also had it with Isak last year).

So we are far from alone. Also, there is nothing to suggest that Sarr is faking his injury.

Sarr has been seen by our medics. Pierre says he trusts him, we should too. A discredited link to Galatasaray on some clickbait site isn't enough to throw him under the bus. He hasn't publicly shown any disrespect like Mateta has.

Much as he tainted his time with us with his self preserving rant and behaviour I don’t believe that part, he damaged his chance of getting a top job with his rant, but no one would’ve touched him if he’d deliberately thrown games, his career would’ve been finished
