What other club fans think of CPFC

I’ve always found it interesting to get a feel for what other fans think of CPFC. I don’t know how representative fans forums are of the general support for a particular club but maybe it gives you a flavour at the very least.

There is no doubt that with the very notable exception of Man City, Millwall & Charlton fans the support for Palace winning the cup was almost universal (and that included many slightly begrudging Weed fans).

However more generally I have found a few surprises of supporters who for whatever reason seems to dislike & disrespect Palace – these include both Bournemouth & Brentford

Conversely Fulham fans have been incredibly gracious and supportive throughout (even after the quarter final)

Interested to hear how you think other supporters have viewed CPFC over the past 12 months or so

Nobody cares what Bournemouth or Brentford think. Brentford will likely flirt with relegation this season. Bournemouth are all one guy's money.

For my sins I live in Manchester... born and bred Ross Rd south norwood... Without exception every Man City fan I know - and there are a lot of them - is delighted for us. Obviously they wanted to win but it really didn't bother them that much and they totally appreciate how much it meant to us and have joined me in many a celebratory beer. Made me think of the gobby arrogant Man Utd fans after the 2016 final which didn't actually mean much to them either. Obviously this time around they were very pleased for us given we stopped City winning it,

I found a Brentford fan at work who hated Palace. He was made redundant last year, presumably for his opinions.

In general I was surprised to see how many neutrals were pleased for us when we won the FA Cup. However, since we were demoted to the Europa Conference, social media is awash with fans of all clubs stating:

Palace deserve this because of Henderson's handball
Palace broke the rules, they can't be expected to not face consequences
The Holmesdale Fanatics go about whinging lile they are hard done by all the time, boo hoo
Steve Parish is a bell end

I couldn't be bothered to bite on any of these four stupid points because arguing with morons is largely contagious. However, a lot of them seem to be Man City or Barcelona fans that live in small African villages. I don't really care what Babatunde thinks about Cristal Pallis but next time Bob Geldof starts swearing on the telly I'm donating to the donkey sanctuary instead.

Aston Villa's forum, Villa Talk, has a thread devoted to Palace that started in 2017 when someone saw the plans for our new stand and thought it impressive.

Recent posts about the Europa mess have sparked a varied response with a fair amount of interest generated by the Jordan/Parish relationship. By and large there is no feeling that we are considered to be on a 'hated' list.

What new stand?

That must be just me then.

Personally I don't give a whit what opposition supporters think of CPFC.
Over the years I have faced some hostile deliveries from supporters of other teams and they were subjected to disobliging comments with no bonhomie aimed in their direction.
