If Doucoure can't fully participate in pre season without breaking down again then I tend to agree.
There may be examples of players who have returned to their best after essentially a couple of years out injured, but I can't recall them offhand.

If indeed. We will have to see when the pre-season gets underway.

I am holding out hope. Essentially there is no way of knowing yet. As has been said it's only a year and a half out and there have been plenty over the years who have missed that amount and come back at a top level.

The most important thing is whether he has healed up properly. If he has; it's all up to him how close he gets to his old self. If he hasn't; it would likely keep hampering him from getting there.

I really hope so. One hell of a player. Against Brentford at home in Vieira's time (Zaha scored a worldie), he completely ran the show. Broke up attacks, passed the ball beautifully. But the worrying thing is the number of times he's broken down again on the verge of a return. It would be like signing a new player worth 50m. Too similar to Wharton?

I know what you mean though, where’s our medals for sitting through all the dross at selhurst for 50 years? 🤣 I suppose our reward is a half decent season once every 10 years🤣 but having said that, despite a trophy winning season, our home form in the league was still about as shite as you can get without getting relegated, I’m assuming my long service medal is in the post 🤣

I think Bayern have said or hinted "not for sale this year" so could be over 200 million next Summer.
