Wet Spam predictions

Not sure about this one.

Wharton is unlikely to start, so we could be a bit short of passing in midfield.
Mateta is not getting the supply he is used to and that has to be addressed. Our goal threat is currently reduced.

With our usual back 5, we can be confident of conceding very little, so it's about scoring.

I'd not be surprised by a low scoring draw, maybe 0-0 again, but The Spam are terrible so a cheeky 0-1 might be on the cards.
See. Why do I need to comment when you say what I think.

Meanwhile, back to the Reform thread...

I'd be disappointed with anything other than a win also but the teams looking a bit tired and I can see a 94th minute equaliser, or God forbid, win from them, especially if they use Wilson as a sub.

West Ham have some match winners and I am expecting a close game. I do not think we have clicked yet post Eze and Sarr has been a huge loss.
Wharton is back and possibly starts, Eddie back on the bench adds an option in the final 10mins.

I am going with a positive 0-1 palace

OG's presser: Wharton starts, Nketiah in squad, Benitez out, broken little finger, Sarr back training. . .

Glasner also indicated that the ‘reset’ button has been pressed on Esse with an acknowledgement that to date the work with him has not proved fruitful.
Glasner himself takes some responsibility for this.

I think Esse is set for a spell with the younger squad to get his mojo back and will be surprised if he will be on the first team bench with players returning from injury .
He needs to get to play full games again to get the rhythm of games again and hopefully get his confidence back.

Spoken like a true boss. I can remember some mediocre previous managers (who liked to dance) who never did this.

anyhoo........we will be thumping Wet Spam cos they is dogsh.1t at present. Probably worse than the Millwall team that gave a decent account of themselves recently.

Perhaps I am the only one on HOL who believes that W.Ham will prove a testing challenge for us.
Should we win I shall be delighted of course but somewhat surprised.

7-6 win to Palace. 6 down at HT but West Ham, so unused to dominating a game, pop 6 in their own net by mistake. As we celebrate a come back draw we get a 99th minute penalty. Richards and Mateta have a bit of an argument about who is taking it but Henderson, needing an urgent wee, pegs it up the pitch and buries the penalty in the back of the net before a nervy final minute of added time with our goalie in the toilet.

And still last on MOTD

With Sullivan already sounding out Nuno, this could be the final nail in potters coffin, but you know what we’re like when a team or manager need a result, although they’re not usually as bad as the spammers, so I’ll go 1-2 to us

As much as we would all like to see 3 points return to South London, given our lack of goals at the moment I’d be happy with a draw, but…..😐

0-2 Palace and we will miss a hatful of chances too. We need to make the corner kicks and throw ins count as Soucek is out for them, so lack of height at the back will most probably be their undoing.
