West ham meltdown

Some people have a theory that a club will bid for a player wanted by their rivals just to jack up the price and make them waste money.

West Ham have a history of poaching our targets, but with one or two exceptions they all end up being expensive failures.

If we are setting up West ham to fail in the transfer market someone at the club deserves a big bonus.
They do seem to spend a lot of money to still be s*** over the years. Knocking on £80 million for Killman and that Todibo is a particular gripe with their fans at the moment

James Ward-Prowse was signed for £30 Mill which I concluded was excessive.
Niclas Fullkrug in his 30s was signed for £27.5 Mill and he has scored 3 goals in 21 PL appearances.

The first opinion I seek is that of the Bookies it is very early in the season but they are odds on for the drop with every bookies except BetVictor who go 11/10 against.

An understandable gloat from us given how well we are doing and gazumping our targets, but spare a moment of Brentford. Hemorrhaged their better players and coach over the summer and most feared the worst. Yet you wouldn't know it.

This season they have Igor Thiago available and he has scored 5 goals in 8 PL appearances.
A physical presence, hard working, has hte ability to link the play. He would be an excellent replacement for Mateta.

I watched the game late last night in Thailand. West Ham were very poor apart from the first 5 mins or so & deservedly lost. Once Brentford took the lead you could see no way back for the Hammers - Bowen was about the only player who looked capable while the rest were just culpable.
No team performance there, they gave up well before the end & the fans have just about had enough of it too. Something's got to happen soon to change this, or we'll see them relegated.
How sad, what a shame, never mind ......
