Some fantastic results this weekend with most sides below us losing and currently,Ipswich being slaughtered 6-0 at home to City.
Our own impressive win yesterday is icing on the cake and even Willo ,has us down for a point against Brentford next game ,so all very positive!!

That must've been a blow to the Willo system. He's probably recovering by reclining in a darkened room while members of his harem fan him with palm leaves.

Not that it was ever in doubt for me, but with our up turn in form, Leicester and Ipswich looking doomed after both suffering back to back home defeats, an eleven point gap and still to play Ipswich, saints and wolves, I think we can be fairly confident of staying up now

Effectively 12 points clear given gd. Seasons being transformed, but in truth we have better players than some of the early season results showed.
Some home wins would be good now !

I would be surprised if the bottom 3 do not go down. Likes of everton and wolves are very lucky those 3 are not very good.

It just goes to show you for the likes of Leicester and Southampton even 1 year out of the premier league there is a big gap with the rest of the league. It's crucial to stay up every season!

I have to say I'm still so surprised (and perhaps even disappointed!) with Leicester's decision to appoint RVN. It was such a gamble and although there was the usual new-manager-bounce with a couple of wins, it's just not paying off. My suspicion is he won't be there much longer, but what puzzles me is with their fame and recent history they could surely attract a much better manager. After having Enzo Maresca who's worked wonders at Chelsea they could surely have (and certainly needed to!) attract someone with more experience, more pedigree and more influence that could first and foremost stop them shipping goals.
28 goals conceded in 11 matches since he took over, that's an average of 2.5 per game - pure relegation stats. I haven't done the calculations regarding Steve Cooper but I don't think this is any improvement over the Welshman.

Agreed.

It just shows how stupid owners can be "Let's get a big name player in". When you are fighting relegation you need an experienced manager like a Roy who will batten down the hatches and grind out the results.

Rooney, Lampard, Gerrad and now RVN just don't have the experience. We have seen how players from the lower leagues have flopped in the PL because the standard is so high well the same applies to managers. Each week teams come up against really good managers who may out think them and this is where tactics matter. It's not just before the game either, during a match a Manager may well switch tactics and you have to respond to that.

When they sacked Cooper they still had a chance to get in a battler to keep them up but I believe they are relegated now, they did not back the manager in the window even selling a striker so I think the board has given up.

Thank god for Parish.

Not only do they not have the management experience. They also havent got the playing experience of scrapping for your life. Amazing players that have spent their careers fighting for titles and cups.

When the chips are down, they dont have a huge amount in the locker to look back on.
