We have already spent over ten billion on Ukraine and that's just weapons and a little to keep the state running.....which is barely functional outside of war.

The 'some cost' to rebuild Ukraine into anything like the second world country it was even before the war would take hundreds of billions over decades.

How much is the UK going to have to foot for the stupidity and hubris of dimwits.....God knows.

We won’t. The community of the willing will, but not at once. Investments will yield both work and profits. It’s not a black hole. It’s an economy in a country with a lot of natural resources waiting to be exploited. Defending democracy from the ambitions of Putin isn’t stupid. It’s an essential investment in our survival. One that will, in time, pay rich dividends.

We had all of those deals with Ukraine before the war.

What you mention is zero benefit over what we already had.

Having deals means nothing when someone tries to steal the goods before delivery.

Any deal made by Putin is worth less than the steam off your piss! Temporary pauses must be used by us to ensure he cannot start again. Of course I care about Ukraine, primarily as the front line of the west. I don’t hate Russia, or the Russians. Unlike you I have actually been there. They are little different to us. They just get starved of the truth and manipulated by the rich and powerful. All you imagine here can actually be seen there. Ukraine is a necessary cost. Only fools cannot see that. Fools who put short term economics ahead of long term security.
