War in Ukraine

Well, none of us know each other....I think.

When it comes to political content, I'm not that interested in how socially capable someone is or how popular they might be with birds or the missus. What matters to me is were they proven correct or not.

The truth matters to me.

If your boss was lying to you as an employee about the stuff you were doing....you might not be bothered but I would. I know you are making bank working in weapons manufacturing and more power to you (because we need more investment in the military anyway) but that doesn't extend to actually supporting underhand and dangerous shite, they lie about, which puts us closer to pandemics and new wars.

As the fourth estate, journalism should be interested in finding out the truth......So much of it is bought and sold now that it's important that what remains isn't attacked.

It is disheartening moment in life, the realisation of how many people don't really care about 'the truth'.
Just a watered-down version that is personally palatable to them will do just fine.

If there was a pill to forget the truth and instead live a blissful life without knowing the ugly truths about the world.

Many many people would take that option.

Hell, many don't even need the pill.

Hell, many don't even need the pill.

Most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so injured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

Does seemingly endless attachments equal truth, to me it is the complete opposite, but we're getting inundated.

Drones have slowed progress in the war, there are still regular Russia gains but it's slow paced.

Drones have shaped the battle fronts and already the technology is moving a pace into less and less troop sizes. Drones are having problems finding targets.

The moment one side develops a significantly anti drone strategy, much progress will be made.

Not so simple because the word "drone" means so much on the battlefield. It's a broad defence.

Until drone operation teams are cleared from an area, ironically often by drones, you don't find many infantry on the front lines.

A complete reshape of the battlefield.

Hungary and Ukraine moving towards conflict over oil supplies and vote blocking.

A tad awkward as Hungary is in Nato.

We might have to ask for our expensive weapons back from Ukraine, so we can give them to Hungary instead. But then again, since when have treaty obligations or international law meant anything to us.

I can see the whole Visegrad group moving away from the EU/NATO axis, following the US lead.

In Slovakia no talk of a conflict with Ukraine however diplomatically it's getting worse as Ukraine backed with unlimited western funds continues to wave it's floppy cock about at it's neighbours.

Ukraine doesn't have the resources spare for an expeditionary force into either Slovakia or Hungary however drones & ballistic missiles they have plenty of & as we've seen with the USA (NATO) our doctrine is out of date so they could do some real damage if it goes kinetic.
