If one is being cynical, you could say that it is about elections.
I doubt the Epstein thing is a significant factor but I can see why some would think so. Epstein isn't going away so it would seem crazy to commit to a war on Iran just as a temporary distraction. It doesn't add up. It's more likely an attack strategy from his opponents.
