On the Irish news - not one channel has yet mentioned the person is a Muslim. In one report they must have mentioned Army Veteran from Texas every two seconds but not one mention of being a Muslim. As though the army vet bit from Texas bit is somehow a factor - which it isn't.

I was watching the initial briefing, both the Police and Mayor said it was a terrorist attack but the FBI Agent said it was non-terrorist.

We are now seeing a type of terrorism whereby many people are getting radicalised and converted domestically. It's not necessarily always immigration.

I see this as a symptom rather than the cause.
 
Only a minor number of those outside of middle eastern ethnicity will convert to Islam due to several factors, but mainly the fact that we aren't Islamic culturally.......though following current trends that culture will only expand.

Unlike say Hinduism, Islam is a religion that expressly teaches anti universalism. This being the case there will always be more violent interpretations when in non Islamic lands. This can be seen all over the world in non Islamic countries that have had open ended immigration.

Unless you restrict Islam to peaceful interpretations like Sufism, you are basically lumbered with a constant cost that far exceeds any benefit.

There will be those who won't be blamed for nothing.

a fella was on the radio. He explained that the single biggest group of new converts are Young Women. In Europe & the US anyway. How and why that occurs, your guess is as good as mine. But if you look at some of the high profile ones, there is probably a predictable pattern.

Some weeks back a car parked itself inside a shop in Banstead High Street which - while doubtless irrelevant - was a Vietnamese nail bar. Went virtually unnoticed in even the local media. Just an accident I expect.

why would terrorists need a fancy James Bond bomb ? with difficult to source explosives and a clever electronic component. When they can just source a vehicle, the bigger the better, and slam it into a crowd of unsuspecting bystanders. And if they cannot afford a van, they seem to be robbing them ?

The response of Governments, to build crash barriers on our streets, is frankly derisory.

Are you referring to the Tesla situation?

I think we can be reasonably sure now that the Tesla explosion wasn't a terror attack.

nothing to do with Tesla. My main point being that barriers are springing up, everywhere in the West. As per the link below............ the illusion of safety.
