I think that with offside, plus watching play, plus watching for the ball out is too much for one human. And why we get mistakes. Get each official to be a specialist in one area. Here, let one linesman deal with offsides on either side. One dealing with the ball out and maybe fouls and you get people only looking for one thing. Not a myriad of things. Less mistakes. The ref can watch for fouls on the pitch. Nothing else. Keep goal line technology but do have an end linesman looking at what happens at the end. Particularly corners, free kicks and penalties. It won't happen but it takes tasks away and makes the human element only really have to decide one thing, more or less.VAR is all about humans. It’s just the quality we hire is appalling. Tomorrow we have a junior referee on VAR who has never who has never handled a League match let alone a premier league one. How on earth do you think we are going to get sensible decisions without experienced people operating it.
