Different set of circumstances.
The UK and the non English speaking countries being passed through are all stable, law abiding and relatively prosperous.
Not so for the Venezuelans trying to enter the USA.
In fact the truth is that using English will get you by in most places so it’s an excuse and not a reason.

impeachment over a policy disagreement is laughable. Trump is doing what he promised and what he was voted in for.
Trump is deporting dangerous gang members and activist judges are trying to stop it. 👍🏻

Orwell was an opponent of Fascism, very true, however he was also an opponent of communism.....he had equal distaste for progressive ideology.....As seen in the famous quote:
'It is a strange fact, but it is unquestionably true, that almost any English intellectual would feel more ashamed of standing to attention during "God Save the King" than stealing from a poor box'.
He was basically anti authoritarian and he understood the English identity and didn't look down on its working class.

Orwell is not alone in opposing both fascism and communism. Many do. Those who stand on the centre ground, like me, particularly so.
That quote is far from unquestionably true! I question it for one! I would happily stand to attention for the national anthem but never steal from anyone or anything.

Despite your Orwellian attempt to change history, the quote is completely accurate, it is in my copy of The Collected Essays 1940-1943 - Journalism and Letters of George Orwell Volume 2 My Country Right or Left. It is in the essay ‘The Lion and the Unicorn: Socialism and the English Genius – Part I: England Your England’.
In it he also says that:

I am merely saying that without evidence we don’t know. All we have are hypotheses.
What the Chinese have said may well be untrue but they have mostly said nothing. Unlike the Trump administration who are pushing their hypothesis as fact. Which it isn’t. Hence propaganda.
