They haven’t but only because it wasn’t the subject.

If true then it’s unacceptable but I cannot believe the police would arrest anyone unless they had first decided there was a prima facie case to answer and to do that they must have reviewed the evidence. If they later decided there wasn’t sufficient to prosecute wouldn’t mean the claims were baseless though. Only not enough to justify prosecution.

3 police cars, 6 Officers. They had to call an elderly mother to look after their young child. At best heavy handed. What’s wrong with speaking to them in the house? An absolute disgraceful piece of police work

It’s being investigated so until that’s complete and the police have either justified their actions or apologised for them it’s impossible to make an informed assessment.

In any case this doesn’t appear to involve any element of a hate crime but rather just alleged harassment. Which is still concerning of course but the discussion was about the enhanced response that hate crime generates.

Having never heard the term I needed to inform myself.

The answer seems to be no. Not on its own. If done with the intention to harass or abuse then it could be.

If it was on its own then I would have committed an offence many times. Having transitioned grandchildren who have adopted new names can be challenging to their grandad.

The subject was those who deny science! Science knows what man is contributing. There is a consensus.. Some here, not themselves experts in the field, question that science for no discernible reason other than it doesn't suit them.

It has already been established that no crime was committed the review is to look into why an over the top heavy handed approach was taken. The fact this couple were arrested proves the original point.
