I'm not even sure I think telling your opponents what to say is even that effective.

If the left were actually interested in stopping this, they would disassociate themselves with their far left....large amounts of whom are mentally ill due to indoctrination......But they won't do that....for several reasons.

It's all following the pathway that many of us...well some of us....predicted years away.

Attacks will continue on....but the targets will be soft ones....and the right will respond at some point. It's just human nature.

It could be stopped but it won't be, because no one really believes in taking responsibility anymore it's always the double down and that's just how it goes.

Yeah....but that's been the case since the start.

The difference today is the significant distance between mainstream left and right in America......Far further than a generation ago.

The US right are pretty much the same GOP Reaganites.....that I use to have criticism for.....But the left went progressive and that's a large part of their voting base now. It's what they teach in their schools.

Now Reaganites look safe and normal and people that you can talk to and argue economics with.....A lot of the voting base on the left though.....Blimey.

Seems obvious to me but to our right leaning friends every sin in the world is due to the “left”. People whose whole ethos is based on care and compassion. Not on them, whose whole ethos is based on superiority, exclusion and often hatred.

Anger exists in all groups but that doesn’t mean all the group is responsible for the actions of a disturbed individual.
There is much more anger on the right than the left at the moment. And usually.

Of course there is a way to stop it.

The President could act like a President. Call for calm. Remind people of their shared values and what binds people. Rather than talk of hatred and create divisions.

The people could listen to Erika Kirk and Governor Cox. Rather than Trump and Vance. Then they find leaders they can relate too and respect, whatever their personal politics may be.

This could be a pivotal moment. Let’s hope it’s grabbed.

The presidential system in the USA means a president who is voted in retains the title till they die. There is a covenant of respect for the outgoing president, no matter what you thought of their views, and they are treated to full protection while alive and full honours when they pass.
