If that happens, is it possible / feasible there will be a significant enough back bench rebellion to vote down the budget?
I don't have any idea on the numbers that would be required for this to happen.
My gut feeling is that push comes to shove, the potential rebels will not risk a possible situation where parliament is dissolved and a general election is called.
They will want to keep their salaries as long as possible.
