F****** Wankers UEFA.

We’ve really been screwed over and I genuinely thought that our rightful place in the Europa League would be restored.

Lyon appeal their relegation and win…wankers!

Just wait until the Man City outcome is delivered! 115 FFP charges and all they’re in line to get is a fine for non compliance! Absolute wankers! They’ve already appealed and overturned a UEFA 2 year ban from Europe and won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups and One Charity Shield! Now that really is gaining a sporting advantage!!!

Personally a trip to Edinburgh (not Dec or Jan!), or Cyprus would be nice. I'd love to play Riga as i hear it's a lovely (and quite cheap city).

Let's avoid Turkey (their fans are mad) and Kazakhstan
 
So, amusing one here…

In preparation for our potential Europa Conference play off second leg away in Fredrikstad on 28/08/25 - Last week , following their 1st Leg result against FC Midtjylland, I booked 3 hotels for the trip; one by the airport, one for Fredrikstad and one for Oslo (post match visit etc). These were all free cancellation up to date before check in etc. so no harm.

I’d already looked at flights to OSL and had some saved ready on my BA account.

So this morning, when the CAS announcement dropped, I quickly went onto my BA app and bought the flights. Boom I thought 💪🏼

It then occurred to me after my first coffee of the morning that they’ve actually still got the second leg to play! 😂😂😂

So think of me this Thursday evening when Fredrikstad come back and win 3-0 as I’ll no doubt be sightseeing round Norway feeling rather stupid when instead Palace are playing Midtjylland in Denmark for their European opener! 🥴🤪😂

I don't think you'll have too much of a sweat on Thursday. I will be surprised if the Danes haven't put the tie to bed by HT.

Personally I admire the fact that you’re obviously that excited that you’ve reacted to the news and steamed in to sort yourself out.
I’m really looking forward to the home leg now and I’m hoping we can all just get on with it, move on and enjoy the ride now.
 
Gutted TNS got themselves knocked out , there my local team and I mean local , Welsh team based in England and play there bigger European games at Shrewsbury LOL
 
Could be a blessing in disguise. We don’t need any big money signings now. A couple of loans and bedding in some of the youngsters on Thursdays would make sense.
 
I hope I haven't sounded like winning this is a foregone conclusion but it's potentially more winnable. So a big IF, but if we did go on to win this fielding some players that we probably wouldn't have in the EL (names mooted along the lines of Esse by others) we'll surely look back and say "well, we got another trophy without over taxing our paper thin squad and still get to play in the Europa League with an entire Summer transfer window to recruit players that would support it". I am rehashing what a load of people are already saying, but actually that's likely to be more favourable than going into the EL with zero recruitment and having a knackered Eze, Mateta, Sarr et al to support our Premier League campaign.

Well, isn't this wonderful? We're gonna need a bigger trophy cabinet. Oops, I said I wasn't getting presumptuous.

Edinburgh would suit me nicely. It’s just an hour on the train for me (as is Dundee).

I’m not sure if it will change.

The First Leg at Fredrikstad last Thursday certainly kicked off at 5pm (BST) as I was following it on the Sky Sports app.

Edit…apologies, I now see you were talking about our Home leg. Yes, hopefully that is an evening kick off but who knows?
