Mr Hodgson met his objective and whilst entertainment was somewhat scarce the ends justified the means.
Our highest position under him at the end of a season was 11th and I suspect many supporters would not be disappointed if we finish in this position at the end of the current campaign.

yes but Croydon-Roy didn't have the distraction of a European Campaign to deal with. I would be delighted if we finished the Prem Fourth from Bottom and also won the Europa League - and both are achievable on a good day.

i disagree. The Europa League has previously been won by Prem teams who weren't up to much in the Prem.

Within the last 10 years, 3 teams who were triumphant in the Europa League finished in 3rd, 4th and 6th positions in the PL.
At the other end of the spectrum is Tottenham who won the tournament in the 2024-25 season and finished in 17th place in the PL.

Given the money that’s been wasted this past year, could we not have just kept our best players and maintained our position in the PL?
As it stands we have the worst of all worlds, ie, we’ve sold our stars, blown the money on inadequate replacements, and now stand every chance of being relegated, with all the financial headaches that entails. Great planning!

Really, we are a counter attacking team that hasn't changed tactic for the home games, counter attacking doesn't work when the other team doesn't attack.

What do you actually mean by that? Don't go for trying to win the Europa League? If so, disagree massively - this will be our only chance ever to get Champions League, and whilst it's a long shot, we must try.

Besides, we need to enjoy the Europa League and go for it, it's an amazing achievement to be in it and we waited since May 2024 for it
