Transfer Window.

Critical that we target early signings this upcoming window, rather than waiting towards the end as we have done in the past,if we are serious about retaining OG.

Yes, watch them all walk in just as the window opens. I suspect fans' and Glasner's ideas of "critical" we get early transfers does not align with the board. Who will try to get the best deal. It's just the way we are. I also wonder exactly how many players people expect. I don't think we've ever had more than three in January and that was because we looked like relegation candidates. It won't be more than two in my opinion. A right back seems somewhat likely. Maybe someone in attacking midfield/wide midfield. Maybe.

I'd like a proper no 8, someone who's got a few goals in him, will make runs into the box and take a bit of pressure off our attacking players. lerma, wharton, Hughes and kamada aint got a goal between them, as soon as any take a shot I already know its going straight at the keeper or nowhere near goal. With mateta out of form and sarr and munoz not playing, we just dont look like scoring from open play. We also need another no10, thats my only criticism of glasner, how many more times are you going to play Nketiah as a no10 and expect different results, he quite clearly can't play that position.

I predict that this window will be the same as all the others….that’s the way we do business. Nothing to indicate anything to the contrary.

Glasner may go irrespective of what we do…..needs to be a long term transfer strategy in place…not short term panic in a window where you always vastly overpay for poor players somebody wants rid of.

In truth none of the outfield players added in the summer have made any significant contribution so far this season.
Canvot and Pino may well contribute in the future, but I'm talking about the here and now.
Canvot is very inexperienced and raw while Pino is having difficulty adapting to the physicality of the league and is anonymous for long stretches of the games.
Added to this we're not seeing real contributions from Nketiah, Uche or Esse either.
That's around £80+ million of players not having a positive impact at present.
Hopefully one or two will come good in the future but we need players to impact the first team this season.

There are stories that we are looking to bring 3 in this window, 2 of them forwards but that could mean one or two outgoings (Esse on loan, Uche)?
If we do bring 3 in I hope at least 2 are first team ready and can have the necessary immediate impact.

We are 'Birds on the same twig' in respect of the contributions of the outfield players acquired in the summer.
I am also in agreement apropos Nketiah, Uche and Esse.
Finally, rampant speculation and supposition is always rife leading up to and during the 'Transfer Window'.

The chatter about signing Brenda Johnson is growing. 35 million wow a record?
Oscar Bob is available and would be a better option..!!

Think we need another 10 (Bob), a right back Sasha Boey and a CDM - Connor Gallagher..??

Over to you Parish, you need to act in the first week of the season to get our season back on track and have any chance of Glasner signing a contract..!!

Let's hope Parish surprises us - although I'm not holding my breath..!!

I think you will find that the tablets handed down from the nearest mountain by Victor Moses states very clearly that no Crystal Palace transfer in can occur before the 31st January anything else is fake news by even faker parasites commonly called agents beware! 😆

I have my suspicions too. Wasn't he one of their best over the last couple of seasons? Why so desperate to get rid now? If I were to guess maybe attitude can training.
Brennan Johnson was Tottenham's leading goalscorer last season with 11 goals.
That was during the Postecogolu era, perhaps he has not been as effective playing in different systems under Frank.
I recall his father, David Johnson, plying his trade.
I am told that Brennan supported the teams his father played for but mainly Nottm Forest as he grew up in West Bridgford.

Brennan Johnson is great for running in behind if a team is playing a high line. Excellent pace.

He is a great finisher. Makes intelligent runs and gets on the end of things. Two footed finishing as well, but right footed.

Negatives: his crossing is suspect, very inconsistent. The other main issue for me is he struggles to beat a man. He doesn't have a trick or feint to beat someone like a Grealish. This is probable the main problem. He will get the ball and if it is a low block play it back to the fullback or go sideways.

I think that's why they play the other wingers at Tottenham, despite Johnson's excellent scoring record.

He is more a wide forward, definitely not a winger really.

He may frustrate us sometimes, but he will get goals and be a threat. I approve overall with those caveats

I am told that Brennan Johnson has a tremendous turn of pace and a couple of seasons ago recorded the fastest time in the PL, just shy of 23 MPH.
I recall a few seasons ago being informed that Neil Warnock was impressed by him commenting that he is a player who gets fans off their seats when he has the ball.
I am somewhat surprised at the reported £35 Million !!

It is a decent fee for him Parish has negotiated. He is on a sizable contract, he will be one of our highest paid players.

He is barely playing and they paid in excess of £42m to Forest, I think they've had fingers burned not being able to move players on, so cashing in.

He is also fairly young and British. Wales international, struggled to start from them recently when he had been down as Gareth Bale's replacement in the past. He has not reached those heights tho.

Let’s face it. Spurs are absolutely toilet. Having watched them on Sunday there is not one I’d have ahead of any of our starting 11. Johnson can’t get into a bad side, so what is the attraction for us ?
Maybe only as a straight swap for Eddie ?
