Trans Pronouns....Enoch Burke....Jailed maybe for a long time ?

The School-teacher who refused to call a Trans kid 'They'. And as a language-teacher i expect he has a good grasp of the general concept of Pronouns - they work well when not abused. But 'they' didnt like them. They were difficult & confusing for them. The cops ( they/them)...then arrested him, on behalf of them. They thought they had a right to express their preferred ones of them. They chose them, Enoch refused, so they phoned 999 to get them. They arrested them for abusing them......hang on i am getting confused by them.

Enoch has now done over 500 days in a maximum security jail. Sharing the corridors with hardened criminals. There has also been a legalistic attempt to financially ruin him. Plus his future career, as a teacher, is also in tatters. The comments, under the very many Youtube clips, speak volumes for where public-opinion sits.

Had i been employed at that school, i would have called the kid 'they', kept my head down, and taken my monthly salary. But then again, i am a coward. Enoch isn't.

With a name like Enoch Burke he wasn't born under a lucky star was he.

I is now wondering what they is gonna do to,..them.? I mean, them is only following proper grammar, like what people might expect from teachers. Absolute persecution and them what is doing it should be put in stocks, so them what are normal-thinking can throw vegetables and rainbow-painted rocks

This type of 1984 scare tactics for the citizenry needs to be called out often and loudly.
you are correct Eagle. But the Elites like to 'make an example' of a fella. In order to shut-up all us other fellas. Its not really about Enoch.

Its about your own reaction. When you walk into, say a Supermarket, and encounter a Trans-they.
Will you say what you are thinking ? or will you start to self-censor ?

The bs that’s posted about this guy is unbelievable.

He hasn’t been jailed for his views on trans, or his religious beliefs. He has been jailed for contempt of Court. He was sacked for refusing to abide by the policy of his employer, a school, and then deliberately and repeatedly disrupting their work, resulting in a Court order banning him from going there. Which he ignored. That’s contempt.

He is a religious activist with strong views. Some describe him as an extremist, others as a nutcase. He is entitled to his views, but not to break the law. Employers, including schools, are entitled to have rules that their employees, teachers included, must follow.

The answer lies entirely in his own hands. Abide by the law. Protest as much as you are legally allowed to. Find a position in a school who are sympathetic to your personal beliefs.

Exactly!

Hats off to this man for sticking to his guns and his principles. It does seem ludicrous that he can be jailed for not using someone’s self defined pronoun when he is technically correct. Especially following the Supreme Court Ruling.

As much as I get what you are saying and as much as I'm against all the pronoun and trans insanity. He is being arrested for contempt of court.
He was suspended with pay (I think) for calling out the child and principle in front of the whole school.

The burke family are a very odd bunch.

I fully respect the point you are making and acknowledge the issue is one of contempt of court.

I think that is what I am particularly concerned about to be honest. There must be an opportunity for the wrongs to be put right in due course. Like so many other recent high profile police investigations and court cases that have been thrown out or NFA’d and are now paying out compensation to the aggrieved party.

contempt of a hard-Liberal Judge who had been appointed by a hard-Liberal Politician ?

Ah yes. We must always respect the judgements of a Court. Even in Stalin's Russia or Idi Amin's Uganda. We must always respect the wig and the gown.
Ireland is not Stalin’s Russia or Idi Amin’s Uganda. It’s a modern liberal democracy within the EU. So yes, you must respect the judgements of a Court. Whatever you think of them or the Judge. If you don’t you end up in prison. As this guy deservedly did.

Anyone else see the irony here. (Check the US politics thread) 🤣

No irony whatsoever.

That I knew the Judge in my case was wrong, and that the guy was a scammer, doesn’t mean I disrespect the Court, the Judge or the judgement. The insurer paid the sum awarded, and their costs as ordered. We did all we could. The Judge was wrong. People make mistakes and we move on.

There is a big difference between disagreement and disrespect. Something that, perhaps, escapes you.

The irony is fully operational on your end.... Classic corny 🤣

And with juries about to bite the dust soon, there will be a lot more of this crap
