Only positive is that we know the problem. Worse goal difference in the league after 9 games. Not sure if any team has survived in the PL with the worse goal difference ?
 
Why dont we just leave someone on the halfway line? currently their CBs are half way in our half just blocking us in. No out ball at all and nothing to stop it coming straight back.

Quite the opposite. The manager is responsible and accountable for what happens on the pitch. End of story. If these were one offs fair enough. They aren’t though. The defending from set pieces is an issue every single game. Sorry but Sage just isn’t up to it. The sooner we act on that the better our chances of avoiding relegation and repairing the damage done already.

That is nonsense.

People have made up this notion like they did Big Sam that these guys can only do one thing and nothing else which is not true.

You need to look at all the work and a large % of the time they went into jobs which was never going to be great and it was about keeping them in the league or securing things.
 
Maybe we could do better than Sage (I don’t know) but we have been conceding from corners for a long time now. Lost quite a few in this way last season (yes even under our “best ever” manager).
 
Spurs haven’t been great. For most teams even with 10 men, getting a goal and a draw should not be difficult. But our team is so insipid , we just look like we have no chance. Something has to change. Unfortunately for Sage, that means P45.

Most teams have a dedicated defensive coach, we don't. They have set piece coaches we don't
It looks like a structural management problem to me
How can you repeatedly have an unmarked player at the back post
 
The red card has tilted this game firmly against us. For my money a yellow card and final warning would have sufficed. The ref, who was on the spot and had a far better sense of the context, thought yellow but of course, var must get involved and ruin a contest tens of thousands have paid to see.

None of that, however, explains the most free header in history from a corner. That's nothing to do with the red card. If not for that, they've actually not created too much, which makes the defensive failure all the more galling.
