Three most important

Isak is clearly a major upgrade on Eze and offers the same 'wow' factor.

I'd also say the same of Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Morgan Gibbs-White and Bryan Mbuemo in terms of attacking players.
I meant players in the same position, none of them get you out of your seat like eze and even tho overall are probably better players, not one is capable of scoring the free kick he scored against Brentford.

In fairness, Morgan Rogers is going to be something. He already is really. The goal against us was crazy. Shame that they just don't use their players as well as we would. Shame for them; good for us right now.

We don't need to mention Eze here - as that will be affirmed by his Ballon d'Or.
I never ever said, Ballon d'Or, i said worlds top 5 by 27, move to PSG and it could happen, he has one season to go 🤣 🤣

Agree, he's excellent - one of the most impressive debut seasons I've seen at this level in recent years.

I think we were linked quite strongly with him when he left City - would love to to know if it was ever close!

Fair enough - I think all four of those listed get you out of your seat, and probably do it a lot more consistently than Eze does!

The free kick thing is a bit niche, but I don't particularly disagree with you - he's one of the better free kick takers in the league, certainly in terms of attempts at goal.

What's this thread about? Remind me. Meantime, I'm 78 and I've been enjoying the sun in my garden most of today. I'm knackered too.

We have such a great team now it's very tricky to pick it apart
And as Munoz has signed an extension and thankfully two incredible players have done so well in their first year, Lacroix and Sarr, I'll discount those as we won't lose those easily

The fact we did replace Olise, who has a pretty good chance of being Bayern's player of the year, should give some confidence, or less panic, about departures. It's not impossible to replace even the very best.

And Guehi will go (unless my wish that if we win the FA Cup he'll sign a season long extension, especially as Liverpool have Van Dijk for another contract)

So for the three it then becomes easier but in no particular order

1) Mateta - because PL goal scorers are gold dust - though we did survive without one for many years

2) Wharton - because no other English midfielder, not one, not in my lifetime, has ever played the quick forward pass with either foot so well in my experience or memory - or even attempted it!!

3) Glasner - who has an absolute and total understanding of how his preferred system is supposed to work and how he will coach the players to deliver it.

and 4) Eze obviously, you can't replace a sublime god so no point discussing

I'd say Mateta, Eze, Glasner.

Adam Wharton is a fantastic player, but midfielders are easier to replace than prolific strikers or creative 'flair' players/finishers like Eze.

And Oliver Glasner is pretty much irreplaceable for a club with our profile, of our size.

Long may everyone stay on board! ❤️💙
