Evidently according to some I often used outmoded language which is not 'Politically correct' and has not enjoyed the imprimatur of those in my vicinity.
"Showing your age", "You can't say that" are just some of the responses to my articulation.
I shall refrain from providing any examples !
 
If you have a spare thing to give away for example a ticket you don't need, then you could offer it buckshee

Buckshee, meaning on offer for free.
 
There are loads of old names for Coppers aren't there? Most not used anymore. Peelers - that's gone. Bobbies - gone. Things like Babylon and 5-o, they're probably gone too? Old Bill? Maybe.

They used to be called Jacks too. Bluebottles was quite common. Fuzz always sounded too American. In Liverpool they were called Bizzies - might still be.
