I know plenty of people self employed who are on all sorts of money which ranges from 30k all the way up to over 100k.

I am one of them who gets over 100k self employed.

minimum wage is around 25k in uk (I know of people who on purpose go below this to get extra from the govt and these are people who work for likes of NHS)

It's a bloody good job that nobody that's doing well for themselves is punished for it by a higher rate of tax and then gets despised by the people that benefit from that taxation. That'd really be a kick in the nuts if it ever happened. Fortunately it never will, we talk highly of high earners in this country and we are vocal in our appreciation of their forced benevolence.
