The Firm

I seem to recall they used footage at Selhurst during the 2-2 draw v Man City just before our FA Cup final.
Didn't Ron Noades blow his top at the producers associating Selhurst with Hooliganism ?
I watched marching powder the other night and it really bugged me how they never actually stated or made it clear what team they supported despite saying where they were travelling away too to reak their havoc.
Maybe it’s because the usual London based suspects are fed up with the association and the producers were worried about being sued? Possibly?

Lesley Manville and Phil Davis, great actors both, both playing against type

Lesley manville is a brilliant actress. I really liked her in the magpie murders series.

She was married to gary oldman but he left her for uma thurman. They are still friends though.

I watched The Firm a couple of days ago. First time I'd seen it. Can't say I enjoyed it, bit of a tough watch for me, but I have to admit the quality of the acting by all of them was first rate. It's easy to see from their early performances how Oldman and Manville in particular became such acclaimed actors.

How different from their roles in The Firm were Oldman in Darkest Hour and Manville in Mrs Harris goes to Paris.

She has some great lines.

‘’I thought I’d let you stick your willy up me’’

‘’Well buy a bl00dy beehive then’’ after Oldman says he needs the buzz (of hooliganism)

‘’Lairy prat’’ is how I think she refers to Yeti.
