It's a great piece of drama, Oldman before he made it big is truly scary.
 
Gary Oldman. First name is in the clue, grew up in New Cross, Souf East London and supported Millwall so probably found this acting easy.

His sister Laila something played the mother in law to Ray Winston in ‘Nil By Mouth’ set in Bermondsey. Ray bashed his missus all over the place. She was Waynetta in Harry Enfield.

Nil by Mouth is a tough watch.
Also the baby with the stanley knife in The Firm is a rough scene (may well be deleted now)
 
There's a scene in a pub at the start of Nil by Mouth where a bloke bumps into Jamie Foreman's chair where his reaction makes me homesick for London. It's a brutal film but that bit always makes me laugh.
 
I seem to recall they used footage at Selhurst during the 2-2 draw v Man City just before our FA Cup final.
Didn't Ron Noades blow his top at the producers associating Selhurst with Hooliganism ?
 
and Gary Nubon is younger than Gary Glitter. Mind you all Garys are old these days, nobody's called it any more, it's all Nathan, Aaron and worst of the lot Jadon these days. And all girls from humble backgrounds are now called Alleesha, and there's a million ways to spell it.

There was a story a few years ago about a parent/teacher event in Glasgow.
Teacher: Generally Siobhan is doing very well
Mother: Who's this you're on about?
Teacher: Your daughter. Siobhan.
Mother: That's no her name. She's called Sigh O Ban.

Turned out she'd only ever seen it written down.
