The bbc, again.

I think it’s unlikely that the BBC’s Verify service is involved in the commissioning of comedy programming. In case it has slipped past you the BBC has several different, and separately managed, departments.
Admittedly not as likely as the comedy department dictating news reporting policy.

I'm not saying Biden's son didn't do anything wrong but Trump was clearly going to undertake a witch hunt, hence the pardon.

Similarly, any official involved in Trump's court action, where let's face it he was as guilty as sin, such as Jack Smith from the Justice Dept, have also been pardoned as Trump would come for them.
Putting aside the Dems lawfare on Trump, if Biden's son did commit criminal acts why should he not be properly investigated, is he above the law?

Biden is irrelevant as he is sick and senile and would never see jail time, his son and brother are a different issue

was it Magna Carta that insisted upon the same laws for both rich people and poor ? well, it was a nice idea. RiP

I'm not sure it did. The Magna Carta was a document dawn up by the rich Barons to protect them from the King they didn't care about the peasants.

However over the centuries it was interpreted to encompass us all.

Stop with the 'lawfare' rubbish.

Trump has had the lawyers to buy himself out of being prosecuted for breaking the law. He should have been punished for his part in promoting anti-democratic violence.

'Lawfare'. How silly to coin such a phrase.

Have you heard about the crims who were caught red-handed breaking and entering and causing loss of life but are claiming that they are being subject to 'lawfare'? Well, yes: being punished for breaking the law.

Absolute twaddle haha.

the Lads below did a beautiful dissection of all the dark arts employed by bbc documentary makers.

Those “Lads” are talking complete bollocks.

Simon Reeve describing immigrants as not feeling comfortable is only stating the obvious. Anyone coming into any different culture feels that. The “Lads” are spectacularly missing the point in their enthusiasm to dump on the BBC, and shame on you for not realising it and joining in.

The point being that even in homogeneous and welcoming Denmark immigrants feel uncomfortable. It’s inevitable.

There seems to be some confusion on this thread between the words unlawful and illegal.
To put things straight;- Unlawful is that which is that which is demonstratably against the law whereas illegal is a sick palace player

I know I will receive plenty of derision for this, but as someone with a right of centre viewpoint I remain very appreciative of the BBC. My opinion is that they try exceptionally hard to achieve balance in an impossible environment where people of all political persuasions have a go at them. Sometimes individuals let them down, Nihal Arthanayake being a great example of someone who could never keep his very left wing bias out of his broadcasting, but on the whole they remain as trustworthy a source as we have. They remain a far better starting point for trying to understand what is really going on than any number of partial news companies and social media echo chambers.

OK, but that's just the news coverage.
BBC 4 has some good programmes but the rest of their output is either uninteresting or decades old repeats.

Also ironic that EastEnders in no way reflects East London. It might as well be the east end of Narnia.
To be fair if the show represented the East End there would be no pub and Bengali sub titles.
I love going to Commercial Road for a superb meal, it's hardly full of cheeky cockneys and pearly queens.

The white population in East End boroughs is now between 25 and 40% depending which borough.

East Enders cast is 85% white.

Hang on, I thought minorities were over represented on the BBC?

Make your minds up lads.

The point was that the BBC said this actor's language was “entirely unacceptable and in no way reflects the values or standards we hold and expect” but their representation of east London in no way reflects its values or standards either.
