The bbc, again.

He is of course right isn’t he?

No one is though aware of everything, nor have the time to check every detail. You trust and sometimes that trust is misplaced.

Lineker’s general approach on Gaza shows him to be in line with many, probably most, people in the UK. Including me.
So a person with millions of followers on social media shouldn’t make the time to check what he is retweeting? Very careless or intentional? You have obviously decided he was not aware of the significance I am not convinced

That’s another so what?

He does post and soon enough he will be doing so without the burden of BBC impartiality restricting him. You have no need to read, let alone agree but that’s freedom of speech for you!

Bit of a bu*ger when it is by someone you disagree with.
It wasn’t long ago he was claiming not to be a bbc employee so not restricted by their “ impartiality” rules

How is he restricted in what he posts? The BBC's highest paid presenter doesn't work for them so isn't bound by their rules and his views are shared by those desperate to eradicate any conflicting opinions.
Danny Baker's freedom of speech was curtailed pretty quickly for a misunderstood Tweet.

Exactly, but other BBC employees have been reminded of their behaviours.
Why not just get rid of the big-eared donut ? He's long past his sell by date, but as usual, he'll leave with a massive payoff, just like all the others

Disgusting jew hating protest at Eurovision, BBC Graham Norton " forgets " to mention the Israeli contestant started to sing after surviving the Oct 7th terrorist massacre. Maybe he is in the Queers for Palestine faction, as a gay man he should be anti Hamas

I susupect he will find like other "stars" that have left the BBC that he is not a big name as he thinks. Jonathon Ross and others found that out.

The luvvies at the BBC may big up their star names it doesn't mean that the public share that view. I am not sayng Lineker is rubbish just that he is a square peg for a square hole.

He tried and failed as a game show host on ITV so maybe he's not that versitle.

Just noticed this about the Lonely Planet guide. The article is not relevant to the BBC apart from this line about the owner of LP.

""Wheeler and his wife Maureen sold Lonely Planet in 2007 to the BBC Worldwide in a deal worth £130million in 2007.

However, the commercial arm of the BBC later sold it to US company NC2 Media at a loss of nearly £80million.""

Way to go BBC, thank god it's not the taxpayers money oh err.

They also scrapped their travel unit which was the biggest font of knowledge for global travel in the industry - if they'd commercialised it it could have been worth millions too.

Graham Norton's track-record on 'freedom of speech' leaves much to be desired......

Linehan gave Norton his big break to becoming famous. Lets not use the expression 'to bite the hand that feeds you', but Linehan has accused Norton of cutting him adrift.

Norton is just another Gary Lineker if you ask me.

Ok, so why is this an essential factor in THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST - clue in the title....... it's not about the singer or their life history, the backing group, the costume (though God knows they seem to get weirder every year), or any other factor.... it's the song that's the thing that the show is all about....... unless you are trying to sway some sort of sympathy vote (and that happened the other year with Ukraine, showing just what a farce this contest has already become). So, whilst it's a point that could be mentioned in passing, it's hardly an essential part of the musical assessment is it?

Totally agree, don't forget, it was the bbc, that got the kick off time for the cup final moved for their 'diversity' borefest of political bias.

Didn’t they want it at 3pm and ITV tried to get it moved to 5:30 as it carried more commercial value? I think the FA settled on 4:30 to try and appease both broadcasters.

For me it should have been mentrioned when the pro Hamas protestors did their thing, before that was not relevant
