The bbc, again.

It might well be old but it’s been true for many years and is still true today. It’s by far the worst newspaper. Not because it is written badly. It is written well. It’s because it appears authentic but subtly spins stories to deceive its well meaning and intelligent readership with the intention to pursue the political agenda of the owners.

I once had a friend who was a senior sub editor for the Mail. He is now retired. They had a format for exactly how stories were chosen and presented. It was handed down from above. His personal politics were pretty socialist but as a well paid professional that didn’t stop him from doing his job. Something I couldn’t have done. The Mail isn’t a newspaper. It’s a daily propaganda bulletin.
So no other newspaper/ media outlet does this then? Only those that you don’t like

Are you talking about the Mail or BBC?

For those who refuse to believe. Even the BBC is saying it.

Still denying they did anything wrong and refused to say what the shortcomings were! 🤔 Aren’t we entitled to know? £400k is a large payout of our money

The thing that pishes me off at the moment, is the BBC seem very quick to splash our cash on settlement's for child groomers and paedophiles in their ranks, but when they've blatantly mis-reported on Trump's speech, they employ a load of expensive lawyers to fight the case.
They are an organisation out of control.

That's what I heard from a mate who worked for the Telegraph.

News items were just that; but front page stuff accorded with political bias; and the editorials were drafted by very expensively educated writers who were instructed to channel politically geared pieces.

I suspect the Mirror and the Guardian churn out similar stuff for the left

Perhaps because they are wholly different things?

The only thing that’s out of control is the level of vitriol on these pages about our national broadcaster. They don’t splash any cash on “child groomers and paedophiles”. They deal with employees with regard to their legal responsibilities. They didn’t “blatantly misreport Trump”. They made an editing error.

Huw Edwards got paid off. He was also let off prison by a two tier system.

It's blatant

Ah ok 😏

it seems to be very difficult to keep a secret in the Information Age. Trending, trending, oops, its hard to stop those algorithms.

On a unrelated matter, anyone know the name of the celebrity who is facing sexual misconduct charges but is trying to keep his name secret?

i cannot comment on that at all. On a different unrelated matter, anybody know why a ton of different allegations seem to have been levied on a British man in his mid fifties. The hard drive on your computer would fry if it even knew the half of it ......

The absolute hypocrisy of this article taking swipes at other, newer sports media.

After both United and Palace lost at the weekend (both played at the same time) the post match analysis was focused entirely on Michael Carrick and United and didn’t reference Sage and Palace at all.
