The bbc, again.

Once again it's those with Wisbech's attitude who cost this country massive amounts of money.

All they care about is themselves and everyone else has to suffer for it......It's all over his politics.

The BBC is full of little WE types, and that's why he defends it so much.

In a way it's appropriate that it's Panorama that's the conduit for all this.....It was always very left wing and so very obvious fodder for the TDS sufferers to use.

If the BBC had sensible people in management this would have never happened.....but it doesn't....Just as with Bob Villian at Glastonbury, the reason this happened is because, what aired, is what they believe anyway.

There's no one right wing, who is in a position of influence to say....'hang on'.

Agreed, but for one detail.

They don't need people to be right-wing, they just need people with basic ethics, integrity and decency.

What the BBC did was wrong. They lean left, but they also have form for misrepresenting people of all political hues. It was wrong to do it Trump, just as it was wrong to do it to Corbyn.
We don't have to like either Trump, Corbyn or Putin to be able to say that. We just need to have a basic moral compass.

We are losing something as a society when it becomes normalised to play the man, not the ball.

As much as I'd like to agree....I'll say that while your view is laudable it's also idealistic.

In the real world the line is taken from management because people care about paying their mortgage more than they care about 'ethics, integrity and decency'. So unless you have ensured an objective political balance then it'll become lop sided....as we have seen.

In the real world you have to deal with human nature and the majority of human nature isn't noble, it only concerns itself with advantage. So you have to be practical rather than idealistic.

How does any US jurisdiction have any reach outside of the US, doesn’t make any sense to me?

The danger is that if Trump isn't satisfied with the end result he'll get his money back via tariffs.

The BBC really fecked up bad.

My prediction is that they will settle and it's going to cost a lot.

The TDS left costing the nation a packet because they can't keep their egos in check.

You need to sue in this country then, I still struggle to see how a US jurisdiction applies

It doesn't matter how or what the method Trump uses to obtain the money.....tariffs are potentially far far more damaging....and that's along with other possible impacts.

What matters is that the issue is resolved with Trump.

Which court matters surely?
Julius Caesar would have not bothered with Courts. He would have set the mob onto the BBC.
- license fee non-payment
- boycotts of interviewing-journalists
- crowds parked outside their buildings
- probably shut off their electricity

.....and dont even remind me of the lists of names Caesar used to post onto doors of public buildings. The BBC are very lucky Trump is not Caesar.

As far as I am aware it was only broadcast here and on iplayer which is only viewable legally in the uk so he has to sue here. Its bollocks though as it was broadcast over a year ago and noone cared until now. I doubt he has even seen it. Another dead cat tactic to stop people finding out he is a paedo

As previously mentioned he can't sue here because the statute of limitations is a year so has expired whereas in Florida it's two years.

I just watched part of the GBNews fawning interview with Trump. A part was enough because of the tone. It was giving him the opportunity to tell more lies without any come back. No difficult questions.

I thought Fox was bad but this was awful. For example:-

Trump didn’t know who the Telegraph is. Nor did he know who owns the BBC and was told it was primarily funded by the taxpayer.

So not only is Trump a liar the interviewer is feeding him more lies too.

Yet some here are pleased that GBNews are getting access!

Will the BBC now sue GBNews for this piece of misinformation and demand compensation for the damage to their reputation?

Do we really want this kind of ar*e licking style to represent our media, just because Trump can live with it?
Do you think 2TK knows everything about the USA tv channels and news papers.
Eventually you will run out of straws !!!
