The bbc, again.

Ps. I’d also take anything Wisbech Eagle says on here with a pinch of salt. This is the guy who denied Biden’s mental health was failing right the way through his Presidency and in fact defended all the terrible things the democrats did included the Russian dossier hoax. We all have political allegiances but this shouldn’t mean we have to be blind and in denial to bad behaviour within our tribe.

No hard feelings Wisbech.

Who said it was?

I am very pro BBC but even I thought editing A US president's speech to make a point...
Oh I can think of one poster 😀

It was tongue in cheek humour anticipating what someone might say or I wished that they said. A bit like the BBC Panorama program really.

As long as you're happy with being lied to, and paying for the privilege, that's OK. Why should the BBC get to decide what someone meant rather than what they actually said? Whatever it suggests to you is filtered through an extreme dislike of Trump and nothing else.
The DG and the Head of news resign and you're still trying to insist there is no case to answer. Carry on blaming Trump when he's one who's been misrepresented. Good luck with that.
And good luck trusting their reporting on any future news stories.
We aren’t being lied to!

The story about Trump was absolutely true. There was a disagreement about how it was presented. Watch the Roger Bolton interview to see why. That’s not the issue, much as everyone on the right wants it to be and presents it as a fact.

I don’t dislike Trump. I pity him. No one wishes Ill of anyone as unstable and disturbed as he clearly is. What concerns me are the people behind him and their agenda. The people pulling his strings. Alongside the way the US system has evolved so that money is what controls politics and not the people.

There are now the green shoots of a, yet uncoordinated but determined, resistance. Something for another thread though.

I am about to post what I have learned today about the background to the Panorama affair. Something that is much more important than the affair itself. Doubtless there will be more emerging as time passes.

You forgot the 3 times between 2.30 and 4 pm he told them to be peaceful, stop any trouble and go home. Just watched an interview with Peter Tatchell, who must be related to you. He was pulled up on saying exactly what you have been saying. He was a bit sheepish when confronted with the facts I just quoted. Another on with TDS
Peter Tatchell can also see through the red mists being generated on the right to see what lies at the base of this. Which isn’t pretty and is a much bigger story than the froth generated by an edit in a story about Trump that helped explain what he was up to.

I didn’t forget the, much delayed and reluctant, messages he sent to the mob asking them to stop and go home. He could see it had failed but still delayed. He only did so under pressure from his own family members. Did you forget that?

Trying to explain this as right wing bias won't work when the BBC did the same thing to Jeremy Corbyn.
Trust in the BBC has been seriously weakened and you can't filibuster your way around that.

So if there is nothing to see here and it's all a plot by the Daily Mail and the Tories why have 2 senior BBC staff resigned?

Makes the preceding two days of Wisbech posting nonsense EVEN funnier and more ridiculous.

The build up and timing was just pure genius! 😂

Well the bbc have a positive story about trump today and reduction of immigration.
That must hurt you so much 😁

The March on the White House commenced at 2pm, Trump made his first “plea” at 2.30! Much delayed? Not compared to the BBC taking action.
Tatchell can be a nasty piece of work, having met him at the HO on one of his anyone can be a woman crusades. It was good to see him squirm having been caught out.
Has anyone ever seen Tatchell and Wissie in the same room together? 🤔

Humour ? about as funny as BBC comedy.

I also watched the 'My Husbands's Racist' video which was most amusing and highlights the leftist brainwashing lunacy pervading the thicko population of this country.

So, as I suggested yesterday, the real story has not yet been heard, but will come out. It’s beginning to. A story that’s much more important than just how one BBC programme decided to emphasise Trump’s behaviour during the storming of the Capitol. Something we have seen many reports on, watched live ourselves and already have opinions on.

It seems there is a huge rift between the BBC Board and its Executive. The Board has seen its make up changed by the last government and is now politicised. The current government, with so many other priorities, hasn’t yet corrected this.

Badger quoted part of the insightful Katie Razzal piece a few posts back, whilst being, as usual, sarcastic and disdainful about it. It’s a good read. I recommend it, as it comes from the inside:-

There’s more. The Observer says the BBC has been ambushed. I agree:-

For those unwilling to read the complete article these are the first paragraphs:-

“If the BBC was able today to report what it thinks, it would say this: there has been a coup. Tim Davie, the BBC director general, and Deborah Turness, who runs BBC News, have been forced out. Their resignation statements don’t communicate much.

That is because neither can say what has happened here, namely a group of politically-appointed directors has forced the hand of Samir Shah, the chair, and the departure of the two most senior people in the organisation. Their resignations should be called out for what they are: political interference that will inhibit the work of BBC journalists and undermine the public’s trust in BBC news.“

They aren’t alone in their analysis. A former Sun editor agrees:-

This is the real story. One that is in its infancy and could go in a variety of directions.

So was the doctored video part of the coup? Was the Hamas video part of the coup? Why not throw Trump, Brexit and Farage into the mix? Anyone but the BBC

Can we get ‘those that undermined the BBC Board’ to undermine the government please, so that they resign; that would be helpful.

First plea at 2.30? I must have missed that! So did everyone in the mob! Evidence please!

I have never met Tatchell. We move in different circles!

It wasn’t “doctored”! It was edited. It told the truth. Trump lies. Anyone who fails to recognise that hasn’t been paying attention for the last 10 years. You cannot tell the truth about a liar like Trump by simply handing them the mic or reporting every word said.

There is a legitimate question about why the edit wasn’t made clear, by inserting a pause, or fade, but that’s a technical cutting room issue. Not an editorial one.

The Hamas video does look as though it’s been looked at politically. So yes, part of the coup.

What part the desire to flatter Trump played in this may not be known for some years. Keeping Farage quiet may have been a factor. Brexit not at all.

2 sentences edited together to make it sound like he said something he didn’t 👍🏻

Very transparent.
