The bbc, again.

Reform have set out their views on the BBC. Farage is essentially saying he would abolish the licence fee privatise it, except for the news, which would be funded directly by the taxpayer, like the world service.

I don't think it goes far enough but it will certainly be better than what Labour would do.

Indeed.

I suspect that this was an accounting trick by the BBC and the government of the day. By removing the World Service from the Licence Fee it was an unofficial boost to the BBC coffers.

Anyway that is what Farage is proposing.

It looks like the world service has always been funded by the foreign and commonwealth office.

My bad, I knew that something had changed in the last decade. I looked it up funding for the world service started during WW2 but changed in 2014 although not really relevant to the conversation. you are correct.

Farage doesn't go far enough.
The issues are really serious.
I think we need a full Public Inquiry into the BBC's culture of harbouring paedophiles as well as general dishonesty/lack of integrity.

Bully Boy Corporation at it again. I hope he does sue.

It's crazy that you have to prove you don't want a licence. I don't recall having to prove I don't want a fishing or gun licence and in fairness those organisations have never chased me about it.

So what gives the BBC the right to bully people. If they believe he is breaking the law then prove it in court.
