Son, daughter and I got back to Crowborough around 10.00pm. All slightly deaf, unable to speak properly and utterly and totally elated.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made the day so special. I mean absolutely everyone from those who works at Selhurst to the stewards and police on the day (we got caught up in the gas leak at the bottom of Wembley Hill Road so couldn't get to the parking space I had booked but they did their best to help). Then the management and coaching staff, players and obviously the fantastic 30K+ Red & Blue army led my the amazing HF.
We were in Club Wembley right in front of the screen at the Palace end - with a family behind which included a couple of young City fans. Lovely family and sweets shared with them to soften the blow of their disappointment.
A day to remember for ever and so grateful that is wasn't a third defeat.
Thank you to everyone concerned for the best football day of my life.
Now for Europe!
Thank you again.

Yep..we ( me + 2 sons) had an incredible day. Didn’t know a sole around us, but within minutes we made loads of friends with ‘the Palace family’. Sharing the various emotions was incredible - and then we all burst into tears and hugged at the final whistle. As soppy as it sounds, it will be a lifelong memory for us.

If City won, it would have just been another trophy to display, but for us…we are the newbie’s…completely different emotions. If it never happens again, at least we can say ….we were there…
