Textor buying Everton? / Bids to buy Palace outright

If you’ve got that much money that you need to invest £230m in something to generate a return - and you don’t mind a bit of downside risk - maybe the PL and a club like Palace who can occasionally come up with a resellable mega star - still represents a reasonable punt
The usual return is selling for a profit - but valuing Palace at 500mil seems a little high. If the ground were done, then maybe.

Textor paid around £117 million to buy his 45% share. If he sells for £230 million he's almost doubled his money in three years. That sort of return is likely to catch the eye of investors.

Early August, Lyon put their entire squad on the transfer list to raise funds, including the women's side.

I don't think that's the same at palace as we have 3 board members that are keen to have a still viable business.

Which is exactly why they didn't allow Textor to become a majority share holder.

It looks bad for Lyon.

It shouldn't impact us however the turmoil may mean that Textor may block us spending money whilst he is trying to sell his shares.

I see this more as a nuisance for us and another reason why multi club ownership is bad.

Did he? Can i ask where you get that info.

He initially bought 18% for £87m and then increased his holdings a couple of times to get to 45%.
Based on the 18% cost i would be very surprised if he didn't pay a similar amount for the additional shares. That would be c£200m in total.
